“Jack was a very warm host. We loved to swim in the pond; it truly is a wonderful thing you have there Jack !!! We want to come back with friends, and longer. Thank you !”
“Jack was a great host who provided a quality stay. He was more than accommodating to all of our requests. Even the neighbors were kind - we ran into one who provided us with free firewood. Great stay, great memories.”
“We had a great time camping in the Fall of 2019. It was chilly at night, but the wood stove worked amazingly well to keep the tent warm. The site is peaceful and remote, would recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet. Sitting by the fire pit, with great views and stars in the sky - what more can you ask for!”
“We had a great time on Jack's farm. He met us when we arrived and we followed him up to the site using an old stagecoach road. Definitely needed an SUV to take that track. The site is high up on the mountain he lives on...think rolling mountains that would be considered "moderate difficulty" to walk up. The view from the Tentrr was great. It sits above the fields of baby Christmas trees, which we got to see being planted. From the site, there are numerous trails that range from easy to more difficulty, but all were very private and safe. We had everything we needed, with the exception of a shower, but we were camping so it wasn't a huge deal. Jack stopped up to say hello on Saturday evening and we had a great conversation with him. He's quite the seasoned traveler. Our dogs had a blast and we did some hiking elsewhere. The site is very close to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, which you can't take dogs to, but has great hiking. We cooked all of our own food at the site but Jack also made some recommendations for restaurants in Orwigsburg which is a cute little town. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this site to future Tentrrs. Thanks Jack!

“Our stay at Slippery Creek was great! It's a beautiful site and we really enjoyed the hospitality. We actually had some people stop by and offer us wood for our stove, everyone was so nice. We were there in February, so obviously it was pretty cold, but if you keep the fire stoked you'll be cozy warm. We found it hard to keep the fire going all night, but this was our first time using a wood stove, so we'll get it next time.”
“This campsite was absolutely beautiful! Despite Jack being away, he honored our last minute request to come spend a night at his campsite. He told us to contact his son who would be there to help us when we arrived. Due to a several day power outtage, his son didn't get the memo until right before we arrived. As someone who was trying to sleep (he works an overnight shift), he went out of his way to make sure the tent was cleaned up and we had water. Not only did he deliver us firewood, he also set up our fire burning stove so all we had to do was light it. I'm sad we only had time to spend one night at Slippery Creek! I would love to visit again!”
“This was our first Tentrr experience and we loved it. We plan to come back with friends and stay for longer. The view from the campsite is incredible and our dog was in heaven roaming the trails. You will need to be led to the campsite, so stop by Jack's house when you get there and he will take you up. We brought our own wood, but Jack provided it as well, and we definitely needed it for the tent heater, but it really does keep the tent warm! Thanks again Jack!”
“We had a fantastic time at Slippery Creek Farm! Jack was a great host - easy to communicate with, thoughtful, and takes pride in his beautiful property. He lead us up to the campsite by car, made sure we were comfortable, and recommended local trails and activities. The site itself was breathtakingly beautiful, overlooking a field of Christmas trees and on to the Blue Mountains. There were many trails to explore on the 300+ acre property. We felt secluded but safe in the quiet woods and our only complaint was that we didn't stay longer. Overall, a perfect experience!”
