We had a phenomenal time on the land that Scott has so lovingly occupied and influenced. We were a group of eight and there were plenty of small nooks in the trees to set up dome tents (we ended up having three small tents, and then three folks who preferred to be in the Tentrr). The creek is beautiful and made for a VERY refreshing swim. There's mossy soft green "sculptures" everywhere. The burbling creek was audible throughout the campsite and perfect for lulling to sleep. Supplies were provided just in case - we did end up borrowing a cast iron pan - and the quality of everything was very high. We felt secluded and surrounded by nature, but it was also nice to know assistance was nearby if we needed it - like when zero of the three cars we'd brought would make it the hill out of the campsite. Scott graciously and quickly towed us up - lesson learned for next time. If you drive a "city car" (we had two Honda Fits and a Kia), just keep it up at the first landing of the hill. But what an adventure to be towed out nonetheless! We'd absolutely stay at one of Scott's campsite again. Like... next weekend.

My boyfriend and I had the best time at this site! It was my first time ever camping, and now I am hooked! Scott has made this site truly impressive! You can hear the water from the creek as you fall asleep, the view of the stars was phenomenal, there are several great hiking experiences you can have with solid and clear blazes, the waterfalls are gorgeous, Scott had a checkpoint tent filled with any gear you may have forgotten or needed to refill, there was abundant firewood for the fire pit, the beds were comfy, the bedding was clean, the dining area was solid, we could pull the car right up to the site for easy loading and unloading of our car, there was a propane heater in the tent for when the temperature dropped in the evening, I was even impressed by the Tentrr loo! Miraculously - we also encountered no mosquitos! No idea how Scott managed that - but it was a huge bonus! The site also has lots of privacy, no traffic sounds or light pollution. It was the perfect retreat from our home in NYC. While we were using the camping trip as a bit of a romantic get away/birthday present, and it was perfect for a romantic getaway/birthday present, we kept talking about about how great it would be for families with children and how we would love to have this site be one we come back to every year! As such, we were tempted to not write a review at all to keep this place our little secret. At the end of the day, we just had too much fun and had to sing this site’s praises. As we left, Scott mentioned that he has another camp on the site called Retreat on Bear Creek and that often had more availability. So we now have an evil plan to book that site should this one be full. This was the PERFECT introduction to camping for me, and my more camping experiences boyfriend was equally impressed. I recommend this site to everyone!:-)

We had an amazing time here. Scott and his wife were very polite and considerate and even went out of their way to provide us a propane heater due to the couple of cool evenings we had. Their property is absolutely beautiful! The silence and solitude we had with the sound of the creek in the background was in describable. We would for sure book this site again in the future. Thank you Scott for a wonderful experience! Mike, Lisa, Jonathan, and Allison.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! The experience was amazing. This property has so much to explore and I have never seen so many waterfalls in one place! The camp was so incredibly clean. They have thought of everything you might need for a weekend stay which they make available to you at your own leisure. The camp-keepers are also so responsive and so wonderful. You can tell they love their property and want to share it with whoever would like to explore it. Even if you are a first time camper this place will surely make for a great first experience.

This site was an absolutely beautiful area and very pristine and natural surrounding foliage. The stream and falls are amazing. The owners are very cordial and welcoming. The hill to the actual site is steep and would not recommend driving a car to the bottom unless 4 wheel drive especially for the drive back up. I would recommend that the owners put the loo in a different spot as it is too close to the camp which was noticeable via the nose. We could not locate the sun shower but we also did not ask. I would absolutely recommend this site and will return for another trip.

We had a great time here. The location is terrific and the hiking trails on the property are fun to explore. Taking a dip in the creek is a great way to cool down on a blazing hot summer day. Scott is an ideal host!

What can we say? A Creek Runs Through It is a total paradise! The sound of the creek provides the perfect dose of wilderness, and the camp provides an effortless experience for both experienced campers and newbies. Scott and family have everything you need for a wonderful camping trip, and they could be kinder or more accommodating! Get ready for incredible hikes through the pristine property including well-maintained trails, waterfalls, wooden bridges, and swimming holes! Pictures do not do this place justice. Do not hesitate! Book right away! We are planning our next trip already. Thank you, Scott and family!
