“The view is spectacular, amenities better than you’d expect from a campsite. The privacy of having the whole site to yourself is way better than camping at a campground. A peaceful forest trail inside the property that you can run around in. There is a flushable toilet with a great view on f the mountains.
Ray is a thoughtful and gracious host and just an all around super kind and friendly person. We also loved his dogs, whom he introduced us to, after we told them that my son wanted to meet them. My kids didn’t want to go home.
Will come again if it’s available for our next camping trip!”
“Ray and the red dog ridge was fantastic! I was looking for a peaceful and secluded place to spend the weekend and wow did this place deliver. Ray was an amazing host, very communicative and friendly and his property is gorgeous! The Tentrr set up was as expected, clean and nice quality. Overall if you’re looking for some outdoor peace with the fun of camping without the work of setting everything up you should definitely book this place. Not to mention the star gazing was also 10/10!”
“We went there for two nights. The surroundings were breathtaking, offering a peaceful retreat from the world. The host was friendly and provided clear instructions, although finding the place at night was a bit challenging. The tent was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, and the host even provided firewood for a cozy campfire experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay with a helpful host in a picturesque setting. Highly recommended for nature lovers seeking a tranquil getaway.”
“Our host Ray was great! We had a last minute change of plans in our arrival date and he was very kind and amenable to letting us shift our scheduled reservation a day later without the hassle of cancellation and change fees.
He greeted us warmly on arrival, brought us wood for the fire and had potable water from the well available.
The space is as described in the listing. What you see is what you get. The view is beautiful. The birdsong in the morning lovely. East facing for a beautiful sunrise! Nice walks around the property into BLM land. Recommend for a private campsite 1/2 hour away from downtown.”
“Exactly as advertised - platform text with a solid bed, nice relaxing chairs, and a couple of set ups (so I could move around and avoid the sun). Ray gave me great directions for his trail and sunset spot. Talk about some great time tree bathing :). I came during a fire ban (pretty typical these days in CA) but Ray let me use his gas BBQ and his camp stove so I could still cook. The signature tentrr potty would have been fine, but it was both hilarious and kinda fun to have another great view from the flush potty. And his dogs were great and just what I needed (stayed far, far away until he knew I liked dogs) - lots of nature and puppy therapy in my short stay. Check in was easy and he was always available to help and answer questions but only came when he was helping :). Thanks again for a wonderful night away.”
