“Amazing Camp site!!! This was our first time trying Tentrr and it will not be our last. The owner and managers are very friendly and accommodating. This site was on a beautiful farm. The tent itself was right on the water in a secluded area on the edge of the property. The privacy was unmatched compared to a typical camp site. The river access had a small sandy beach that was perfect for launching our kayak and relaxing in the river. Tentrr's Signature site provided everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Only things we had to bring was bedding, food, firewood, float tubes, fishing rods and our enthusiasm for the outdoors! If you want to do more than just camp, there are plenty of other actives as the site is not too far from town. Looking forward to going back as this is now on our list of yearly camping trips!!”
“Had a fantastic Labor Day weekend at Normanton Farms! Secluded, spacious, comfortable and truly beautiful, it was an ideal getaway after six months of close-quarters apartment living. Not remote enough that it was a pain to get to or that we were worried about bears, there was surprisingly ample wildlife on the river—from fish literally jumping out of the water to cormorants, blue heron, kingfishers, hummingbirds, and osprey! First time in my life I've regretted never having taken up fishing. Seemed a waste.
The only thing I wish I'd known prior to arrival (and perhaps should have guessed, based on the map) is that there is some highway noise that comes across the river. Certainly wasn't enough to put a damper on the weekend, though; in fact, it was a comfort to my fiancee, who gets a little skittish about critters when the sun goes down.
And do note the phrase "fiancee"—because prior to our experience at Normanton Farms, I would've just said "girlfriend". The site was a perfectly serene place to unplug from the world, connect more deeply with each other, and ask that big question.
Safe to say that Normanton Farms will always be a special place to us.”
