“The site was private and quiet, yet only minutes from the nearby town market if you need any supplies.
Our host, Susan was such a great host, always available if we had questions regarding our stay. The site was clean, the tent was perfect. plenty of firewood and water on site. I would highly recommend this site, and we will return for another fun weekend!”
“We had so much fun and enjoyed the outdoor experience. There was room to spread out and trails to walk. The creek was nice to walk down to. The nights were cooler but we enjoyed a break from the heat. Once we unpacked and got settled we were able to play music and be loud without disturbing other campsites. Thank you for having us we loved being off the grid but still in close proximity to areas we knew!”
“This is an absolute must visit if you live in Philly - a very short and easy drive out of the city. The campsite is spacious, private, and a real oasis. The creek is only a five minute walk down a cleared path. We set up a hammock near the creek and spent time reading, exploring, and sitting in the refreshing water. The site has a wonderful tent (a welcomed haven during a rainstorm), four Adirondack chairs, a fire ring, picnic table with umbrella, and clean toilet. The spillway is definitely worth a visit, but take my advice that it worth taking the short drive to the Overlook off of S Park Rd (if you walk around to the left along the fence there is a little area where you can get a better view of the lake/spillway). We grabbed sandwiches at the deli and drove to Lake Nockamixon and sat and watched people launching at Tohickon Boat Launch. You can hear some traffic noise at the site, but worth it to have the convenience of numerous stores within a 10 minute drive. Looking forward to another weekend getaway in the future!”
“Our retreat at Nox Camp was outstanding! What a peaceful oasis for our family. The double bunks were perfect for us and my 13 and 16 year old and there was a beautiful tent set up for my 25 year old and his girlfriend. Everything was super clean and well appointed! They had grill tools, lanterns, yard games, firewood, fire starters, a hammock and a sparkling clean outhouse.
We loved exploring the creek, drifting in the water with rafts, finding treasures on the banks and taking in the beauty. We took a short trip to Ringing Rocks park and we LOVED it. Take a hammer if you have one and enjoy the music the rocks create. We went to a small village, just over the NJ state line to get amazing pizza and check out the antique stores. The Dam trails are breathtaking and my two boys were able to walk the creek to the dam right from camp. They had the time of their lives.
I highly recommend booking this camp site. You will not be disappointed!”
“We had a wonderful time at Camp Nox! We were a group of 3 seven-year old boys and their dads, and we all had fun. Highlights were playing in the beautiful Tohickon Creek, exploring lake Nockamixon, and hanging out at the campsite. Between the campsite itself and the surrounding area, you could spend multiple days at Camp Nox and have plenty to do. The campsite was sparkling clean when we arrived, and the hosts were very responsive with communications (although we really didn't need anything). We would recommend this camp to any outdoor/nature enthusiasts, and we will certainly be going back. Thank you!!”
“We had a wonderful time staying at Camp Nox. The camp is very easy to get to and find. It is nestled in the perfect location with a creek in walking distance. The campsite itself is fantastic: the tent was very cute, clean, and comfortable, the campsite had a great table and sink area that was convenient, with an awesome fire pit. There were many small touches, such as having corn hole and cooking utensils available. Would stay again!”
