This was our first time using Tentrr, and it involved a few problems with the company itself. That said, Sands Creek Camp was delightful, secluded enough but easy to find, and a short drive to the pretty town of Hancock for supplies. There were plates and skillets etc already, so that meant less for us to carry. John the campkeeper was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions, and brought us as much firewood as we could burn (helpful given that the weather turned chilly) The stove in the tent proved very useful, even if we had to stoke it a few times in the night. Much cosier than the propane stoves I gather Tentrr are planning on replacing them with... The region is pretty, despite the many many Trump/Pence signs, though some of the sights suggested by Tentrr such as local lakes turned out to be private. I would recommend this camp, a great weekend getaway!

We had such an amazing time here at the creek! First thing I did was hang our hammock, While the dogs went directly into the water. It was dream come true for them. So great to watch them frolic and cool off. John couldn't have been nicer. He brought us some extra wood the first night- when he got off from work and we hung out for a little happy hour. And btw-he provided us Enough wood for an army! But we went through it- as we had a fire going almost the whole time we were at the site. John left us with a 5 gallon cooler of water as well. Keep in mind, if you have never Tentrr'd before- You are on private land and there is no washroom. We have and knew the drill. John went the extra mile and built an outhouse. Great for those "private" loo moments. He gave us our complete privacy and said he would be back on Sunday is his cool jeep to help us get our heavy things back up the hill to where our car was parked. It's not a far walk but, it is definitely a workout. Our dogs LOVED the field. You might even spot a deer or three.I saw one about 10 feet from my car but she ran away when my dog started charging up the hill. We took a hike (across the street from John's house) up to the rock quarry. It's where we get the blue slate stone from- so we thought it was cool to see. Then we returned to enjoy our campsite and relax on the lounge chairs and read. So lovely to hear the trickling of the water 24/7. We also took a walk through the creek. Bear in mind-you must have proper water shoes. Hiking boots/shoes won't cut it. It's all rock and we literally walked through it-carefully with our two dogs. We saw the beaver dams,But Unfortunately, no beavers-but still very cool! The star gazing is beautiful. Oh. And. pretty sure a bear took off with our garbage. But Don't worry. Not even our dogs were aware of his presence:) You'll have a beautiful time here. Plenty of space for other tents. We would love to come back here again with friends next time. The dogs give it all 4 paws. And we give it it's deserving 5!!

The site is awesome! Located right next to the creek you’ll hear it run throughout your stay. John was also an awesome host who had everything from firewood, kindle, water, and cooking utensils at the site. The only thing you really need is bedding and food. 10/10 would visit again.

Wonderful spot on a secluded bend of Sands Creek with 180 degrees of creek-front wrapping around the spacious site. Johnny provides top-notch service and amenities from providing firewood and chairs to helping move your gear to the campsite with his jeep. There's also a beautiful walk through his fields up to a working blue stone quarry that's highly recommended.

What a perfect camping weekend! Our family of four and dog completely enjoyed our weekend on Johnny’s immaculate campsite on the banks of Sands Creek. The short walk to the campsite was easy to do, and Johnny is super helpful in getting your gear transported in his super cool side by side. He literally took care of everything, as all of the reviews say. He had a way of making us feel welcome, completely comfortable and taken care of, all while giving us complete privacy. He really is the perfect host, and this tentrr community is so lucky he has chosen to share his space with us. That creek is magical! It is so refreshing to be in and so relaxing to listen to all day and night. In a summer of true madness, we have successfully unplugged and recharged in this beautiful space. Also, our gps had the final destination a bit further ahead than the site actually is. When you see that sign in the picture, you are just about to his driveway that leads to the site. But he’ll tell you that prior to your arrival too! You will soon see just how much Johnny wants you to enjoy this beautiful little corner of the world! Have a great stay and we hope to be back! This stay was exactly what we needed!!!

This was a beautiful experience for me and my family. We have 5 children and each one of them had a blast. John the camp keeper was super friendly and helpful. He supplied us with enough firewood for the whole weekend. He took our children for a ride in his red jeep and I think that was their favorite part. We loved the sound of the creek and the kids went for a swim in the creek. Everything was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!
