Beautiful, clean and secluded site right next to Sands Creek. Our two kids had a great time searching for tadpoles and other river creatures. Camp keeper Johnny was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We had a mixed bag with the weather but there's a great wood stove in the main tent and plenty of firewood provided. We will definitely return.

Our weekend at Sands Creek was absolutely phenomenal. Perfect and private get-away. John was very hospitable and provided plenty of fire wood for our weekend! The spot is secluded right on the creek, which allowed for extremely peaceful nights. We spent a day just walking through the crystal clear water exploring the land. The field above the camp was perfect so star gazing. The walk from the camp to our truck was short however John’s Jeep brought up most of our bulky gear and made packing up so much easier! We can’t wait to come back in the fall!

Our time at Sands Creek was incredible! The creek that runs through it was very relaxing and a great sound to sleep/wake up to. The site is located in a very private and secluded part of the property so if you're looking for privacy, this is the place. Johnny had a fire started for us when we arrived as well as enough wood stocked for the weekend. It was also stocked with all of the necessities (pots, pans, utensils, etc.) and had everything we needed. There is quite a bit to explore around the area (highly recommend checking out OARS of Hancock for water river activities) although we also enjoyed just hanging out at the site. Johnny was the best host! He was accommodating, friendly, and was kind enough to drive us to and from the campsite even when it was pouring rain. He was very responsive to all of our questions but also was respectful of our privacy. We can't wait to come back and tube down the river!

My husband and I had a fabulous time at Sands Creek. John was so hospitable. Supplying us with plenty of firewood and great conversations. We will definitely stay again. We even left a little gift for future campers. Don't delay your stay.

Johnny was a great host! The site is beautiful, the water clear, and there were no mosquitoes! It rained a little both days I was there, so starting a fire was very challenging...I'd recommend bringing a camping stove just in case.

The campsite was exactly as described and the huge plus was that it had a river right next to the tent! The site was clean and had everything we needed there to enjoy our stay. The outhouse/toilet system was brand new and also VERY clean. It was also customized and built by our host John himself which was very thoughtful and unique from other sites. We loved the way the site was maintained and the location was perfect. My husband and I wanted seclusion to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we love nature and the outdoors. The main reason we booked this location, aside from it being private and had a river right next to the cooking area and tent, was because pets were allowed and we would not travel without our dog! John was our host and was extremely pleasant to deal with and took care of all of our needs. He went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered and our needs were met. He couldn't have done a better job, so thanks John :) Also, there is a small walking path from where we parked our car (on his property) to our camp site. We loved the small red jeep where John helped us carry all our gear down to the campsite from our car. It was a great little adventure, LOL. You will all love that short ride. John also provided a 5 gallon jug full of water and provided all the firewood necessary for our stay. The fire pit was already set up with tinder etc when we arrived which was awesome. This was our first experience booking with Tentrr and it was a fabulous one. If you're looking for a very quiet spot, with a river and no other campers around, you will not regret it. The pricing is obviously higher than a regular campsite but WORTH EVERY PENNY because of how private it was. We will definitely book this site again! PS. Since it was July and tick season was high in the New York region, we did not find any ticks whatsoever on our dog or on ourselves. Such a relief. It says a lot on how the owner maintains the area to make things comfortable.

Had a great time staying at Johnny's site - he was a fantastic host, leaving plenty of firewood for the entire stay and checking in at an agreed upon time each day. He even built an out-house which was clutch. Washing up in the brook was incredibly refreshing, and the property was perfect for the 2 of us + 2 dogs, Very spacious and well groomed. 10/10 property. We put our hammocks up on the trees to relax, cooked pancakes over the fire pit, went to 2 breweries about 30-45min away, hiked Jensen's Ledges, went swimming in the Delaware River, and hiked Johnny's property across the street to an old rock quarry. Plenty to do in the general area for a couple days.
