Such a beautiful campsite with great little extras like an outhouse for the camp loo! The waterfalls and swimming hole are magical. Highly recommend

I booked this as a last-minute birthday gift for my husband and we both (along with our dog) absolutely LOVED this site! It was our first Tentrr experience and were not disappointed. It was a beautiful, secluded area and very peaceful next to the creek. John was a wonderful CampKeeper and kind enough to supply us with firewood both days, and informed us of great hiking areas - one of which was right across the street! Overall, wonderful experience - loved it!

Campkeeper, Johnny is a really nice guy. He built a wonderful campfire and provided tons of complimentary firewood to us. We won't forget the beautiful creek the cozy and starry night. I really recommend you to stay at his camp if you want a peaceful and relaxing place. You'll never regret being there. I really appreciate his consideration and efforts.

The campsite was excellent and placed right along the river! The site was completely private and also just a 10-minute drive from Hancock. John was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a little tricky finding the right place, so I recommend contacting John beforehand to be sure you know where to go. Would definitely recommend.

Johnny was very responsive and incredibly helpful when it came to loading our items down to camp. We could have walked them, but it was much more fun to have him take us in his Jeep! The camp was clean and well stocked (even with an extra cooler and some helpful items previous campers had gifted). The campfire wood was dry and started up flawlessly. It was cool enough that we got to use the wood stove in the tent - which really heats up the tent! The river/creek is amazing!! Lulls you to sleep at night and a good temperature if you want to take a stroll down the river in it. Our two dogs loved playing in it! Great night sky and good shade during the day. The area was very quiet and tranquil. We wish we had this land!! Overall we thought Johnny went above and beyond our expectations as this was our first Tentrr experience. Being avid campers prepared for everything, we could have walked up with just food and been completely content! Also, perfect trees for hanging a hammock. Enjoy! :)

What an incredible spot and host! Johnny helped us get our mass of gear down to the spot and had already set up the fire for us - so thoughtful! He also made sure we were well-stocked with firewood, water, camp lights, and lots of little (but important!) things like utensils, lighters, TP, paper towels, salt/pepper -- he really had our comfort in mind. (And the generous thing was that he didn't nickle-and-dime us for it, like you see at other sites.) He was also extremely respectful our our seclusion and privacy, settling on a time to check in with us each following day. He's also a really friendly guy, and will tell you about growing up playing in the creek at that very site. What a lovely person -- we were so glad to meet you, Johnny - and thank you for your good care of us! The site: gorgeous. It's at a little bend in the creek with a tiny waterfall (you sleep so soundly at night with its tumble in the background). The creek is crystal-clear, and if you're a flyfisher, you can catch sweet little brookies in the pools directly across from the camp. The water is cool and deep enough to soak in when the weather is a bit warmer. The sun brightens the camp for most of the day, and in the evening the light comes through the trees and dapples the creek and hemlocks across. There is a veery that sings along the banks at dusk and dawn with its ethereal trill (look it up if you don't know it, it's a wonderful little thrush). In the evening, you can watch the planets and stars come out about the camp as you warm your feet by the fire. If you want the full-sky view, you can walk 50 ft and look at the stars above the big grassy field that leads to the camp. And just when you get a bit chilly, you can snuggle down in your proper bed and light your camp stove and sleep like the dead. It is a magical place.

This is a beautiful spot! It was exactly as pictured. Our host was so great! He met us and drove all of our equipment down to the site which was very thoughtful. We had an abundance of firewood, kindling and even fire starters, plus water! The site was perfect - this was my first time camping and it was so fun! Our little dog was thrilled to explore the creek with us - we just had the best time! Loved it!!!

Our recent stay here exceeded our expectations! From the moment we booked the reservation, John was responsive. We were running late on the day we checked in and John was patient, even when we couldn't find his address. When we arrived, John was waiting for us. Since we didn't have 4wd or awd on our vehicle, we parked further from the campsite. John loaded up his jeep and drove us close to the campsite. We were blown away by the beauty of the site, accurately depicted by the photos online. John explained everything to us and already had the logs set up in the firepit, which he promptly fired up. In the tent, there was a twin, fold-up mattress, perfect since we had our daughter with us. There was also an extra camping chair and wood in the tent, to be used with the wood stove. The wood was essential for a night that dropped below 40s. John also provided an abundant amount of firewood outside of the tent which was a lifesaver given the very cool temps. We would have never brought enough wood (if required) because we didn't know how much we would need/use on the cold evening/night. Other extras provided were a fishing pole, lounge chair, citronella candles, coolers, and a ton of other miscellaneous items. There was the perfect amount of privacy and the creek running alongside the site made it so relaxing. We had a wonderful time and are already planning a summertime trip for more days. Dipping in the creek is calling our name during the warmer temps.
