I selfishly don't want to write the glowing review Pierre's site and hospitality deserve, because then it'll just be that much harder to snag another spot on his reservation calendar. But, I gotta fess up, our stay was fantastic; the site is all that is promised and more. Thanks, Pierre. Hope to see you again soon.

Pierre was an amazing host, gave us a great run down and tour of his beautiful camp and amenities as well as great conversations! Beautiful scenic area with lots to explore and enjoy, lots of activities in the immediate area and so much nature to absorb. Woke up to the relaxing sounds of the forest and creek every morning. Our group of 7 had an amazing time and will definitely be booking this spot again and again for the years to come.

Upper Esopus Creekside Camp is one of my favorite places I have ever been. The pictures do not even come close to doing the site justice. Pierre is warm and welcoming, and an endless source of interesting information about the area, things to do, and pretty much anything you can think of. The property is truly spectacular, with the campsite being DIRECTLY on the Esopus Creek. There are two different cool, clear swimming holes within a 5 minute walk of the campsite in either direction. The site was so clean and well-equipped, with a huge fire pit and separate smaller pit alongside it with the grill to use for cooking. There is a wash pit to use to clean your dishes, and the picnic table area is covered from the elements so we were totally fine playing games through a passing shower. The Tentrr Loo and sun shower are both in their own separate enclosure, making doing your "business" when camping with a group totally comfortable and separate from the camping area. The location is incredible. We didn't want to leave the site at all, but nearby Phoenicia and Woodstock are great for exploring if you're into that kind of thing. The extra tents that you can rent from Pierre are AMAZING and sooo easy to put up. The property itself is so varied and interesting, with wide open fields for lawn games, woods to wander through, the creek to walk down...I could have stayed forever. My dogs had the time of their lives and I have not stopped thinking about this site since the moment I left. I truly can't wait to come back, and my family and I have deemed this our go-to getaway for as long as Pierre will have us!

Beautiful site situated next to a colorful stone bedded creek. It’s close to town but you feel like you are miles away in a deep Forrest.

The spot was truly magical, with fireflies and a refreshing swimming hole with trout swimming in it. Pierre and Michelle were perfect camp hosts - welcoming and then gave us all the seclusion we needed. The campsite had extras - a recycling and washing area, a canopy over the picnic table and comfortable pads on the beds. Even our twin 15 year olds were pleased.

We knew Upper Esopus Creekside Camp would be amazing, but it still managed to surpass our expectations! The site is gorgeous, well maintained and appointed, the creek fantastic. Pierre was a great host. He gave us the rundown when we arrived and was available to answer questions as they came up. I really can’t speak highly enough of this Tentrr site. Our only regret was that we didn’t book another night or two, to really make the most of it. Next time we’ll schedule more time to explore and get out for some nearby hikes! Truly a place that is hard to leave once you’re there.

Amazing location right on the Esopus and near so many great hiking trails. Would be perfect for a group too. Wish we had stayed longer than one night but will be back.
