“Will definitely be coming back! The campsite was in great condition and in the perfect location, a quick 10 minute drive to the town of Woodstock and under 30 minutes in either direction to the best hiking trails and views. The set up was amazing and Joe was a great campkeeper, making sure we had everything we needed and giving us recommendations on where to go! Got very cold at nights (mid-October) and the wood stove worked great, heating us and the tent up within minutes. It’s a lovely spot within the trees, facing the pond.. very relaxing, “mesmerizing”, as Joe said! Can’t wait to come back here!”
“We loved our experience here. It was an amazing location and super close to a ton of activities like apple picking, hiking, and walking around Woodstock. The campkeeper, Joe, was super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed every day. The site was super well maintained and you could tell that its handled with care - there were little halloween decorations hanging around the campsite and they left us tootsie pops. Also, while some of the reviews don't like the fact that you can see the road from the site, its not a very busy street and it makes it a lot easier carrying stuff to and from the car. Highly recommend!”
“We loved staying here — the site has everything we needed and was excellently kept, and Joe was very responsive and attentive. It's really easy to get to and close to Woodstock and a few hiking trails, but feels pretty nicely isolated too. We got to see and hear a great variety of birds and enjoy the foliage, which was gorgeous even just around the camp site. We will return in the spring.”
“Beautiful spot with all the amenities described and wonderful host. The tent is very very clean. You'd think it would be buggy being located right on the edge of the lake, but that wasn't an issue at all. As the other reviews mention, the site is located just off of a main road so you can hear cars going by but it is private enough that they can not see you. I would not hesitate to stay here again - in fact, I hope to be back regularly. You should note that cell service at the site is spotty.”
