“I surprised my husband for his birthday, and it was my first time camping. It was perfect, beautiful, stunning, only the best things!! We had an amazing weekend. We brought our dog and he was also in heaven.
We went in September and actually was pretty chilly, so a recommendation I have is if you know it’s going to be somewhat cold bring extra blankets and bring layers. The first night we had trouble getting the fireplace inside the tent started so we couldn’t get warm.
There was plenty of firewood supplied for us, everything was clean and I actually was OK using the outdoor restroom. The little pop-up tent around made me feel completely comfortable. We brought a cast iron pan, and a huge cooler of food, so we never had to leave. Definitely bring a wash bucket/pan or else you won’t be able to clean your cleaning utensils. Oh- and bring extra tongs, oven mitt, and a spatula- it helps out if you’re not used to cooking over an outdoor fire - As long as yours won’t melt (whoops!) the outdoor space was mowed and kept clean which I really appreciated - no bugs or ticks to worry about. The water cooler provided was awesome and there’s a place to fill up if you need more right down the hill. And the owners were responsive if you needed something but you were completely secluded.

“My husband and I came with our 5 children and dog. Site was beautiful with stunning views of sunset and sunrise. Very clean and well equipped, and we fell in love with the nearby towns. We had a hard time getting our family minivan up the hill with wet leaves, we got stuck a few times, but willed it up. 4 x 4 would have been great; but not 100% necessary. There was no wood stove in the tent (which Patti & Arthur did mention to us before coming) so we did have some cold nights, but we brought extra blankets and layered up. All in all; it was a magical weekend, and we know the memories will stay with us. We highly recommend this site! Lots to do!”

“This trip exceeded my expectations! Clean(fully stocked) campsite, beautiful grounds. We had chilly evenings but kept warm and toasty with the fire outside and the wood stove inside. Star gazing, views, sunrises, peace and quiet surrounded by nature.. simply amazing. Also great location with Callicoon so close by. We had 1 great meal out at Catskill Provisions! Can’t wait to stay again :-)”
“We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the farm. Everything we needed was there, and the view was amazing. We brought our dog who loved running around all the open space. He especially loved the trail, which was beautiful at sunset. Fog over the mountains in the morning was really cool too. Highly recommend the sunshower if you feel like you need it- felt very refreshed afterwards!”
