“Patti and Arthur are truly the kindest, most accommodating hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure that my group's trip went smoothly, and even personally pitched in to help one of our cars make it up to the site. They were responsive to any questions that we had, and I felt truly safe and cared for staying on their beautiful property.
The campsite is pristine with wonderful amenities, and the view will take your breath away when you wake up to it after a night spent around the campfire. I can't recommend this listing enough!
Thank you for everything, Patti and Arthur!”
“Our group -- two couples and a golden retriever -- spent an amazing weekend at Lenapehoking Farm. Patti and Arthur were excellent hosts: Arthur was friendly and welcoming upon arrival; they responded promptly to all of our questions and offered helpful advice about things to do in the area. The camp site sits atop a large hill with plenty of privacy and an amazing view. We enjoyed watching the sun rise over the surrounding valley from the Adirondack chairs outside the tent. And our dog loved fetching her frisbee in the surrounding meadow. Highly likely we'll be returning.”
“Exceeeded expectations. Several of the items we were instructucted to bring were actually provided: lantern, bedding, firewood, barbecue utensils, - which was lovely. But we would have been happy to have packed and transported less. We're are septegenarians - so would love to have a stand up grille for cooking instead of the sunken fire pit. The laminated welcome instructions were excellent - but stashed away in one of the storage boxes in the tent. We found them on our second day. Would have been ideal to have it hung from one of the tent clasps so it would be encountered upon arrival. It rained hard twice while we were in camp - and significant rain seeped through the edge where the tent meets the wooden platform. Not a big problem - but did result in wet socks.. Overall, The stay was excellent. The site is amazing - and the creativity brought to the concept is admirable - fun and comfortable. Quite memorable.”
“My wife and I stayed for two nights at Lenapehoking Farm with our dogs; we had a great stay. Communication with Patti beforehand was very prompt and thorough. When we arrived at the site, Patti’s brother-in-law met us there to lead us up to the camp site. The camp site is on a hilltop behind the family farm and was easily accessible by our AWD car. It was a big plus that we were able to drive right up to the tent. The whole site is located on an expansive field of mowed well-kept grass (which our dogs loved romping through) on a hilltop with a beautiful view of the valley. The camp itself is well set up with a toilet located in a small separate tent behind the sleeping tent. A water hose for additional water is located on the way up the hill and there are several trash cans directly on site. Arthur and Patti provided us linens for the bunk bed as well as copious firewood for the firepit. Cell service (Verizon) was spotty but functional when necessary. When the first evening turned out to be much colder than anticipated, Arthur kindly drove up and installed the wood stove, which kept the tent toasty for our second evening. This was our first camping/Tentrr experience, and we thought this was a beautiful site with very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful campkeepers.”
“We had the best time at Patti's and Arthur's property. They have a lot of land, it's absolutely beautiful and the hosts are the best. We couldn't make it up the hill with our car due to the rainfall they've add up there, so they drove us up with their ATV. You have really good views of the valley from where the tent is setup and it's comfortable for 4+ people. Callicoon and Narrowsburg are really close by and it's just a good time all around!”
“My boyfriend and I had a great time here! Arthur met us and led us up to the campsite upon arrival. He was very friendly and let us know to call him if we needed anything at all. The site had awesome views, felt super private and was as it appeared in photos. It was so fun having our private piece of land overlooking the surrounding fields and hills. We were able to explore the grounds and woods surrounding it too. Arthur even had a cool barn on the property that we walked around. The site was very quiet and peaceful, and we saw tons of stars at night! We also saw lots of deer and other wildlife.
Patti messaged me with details of what the campsite includes and everything was there as expected. She was also quick to respond to my messages. The only things missing were the lantern and hammock; we may have just not seen the lantern in the tent cabinets but I'm not sure what happened to the hammock.
One thing to comment on is that there was a lot of dirty water in the stove that produced a great deal of smoke and made it harder to keep the fire going. We eventually had to stop using the stove because it caused too much smoke. It was in the 40s and 30s while we were there and we were cold in the tent! Cold air also came up through the air mattress. I would recommend extra blankets if camping here in late fall. It's windy and colder than other areas at the top of the hill.
One other small thing that might help other campers is to have the trail to the campsite clearly marked. There were two trails that we saw and we were confused as to how exactly to get to the site. Luckily Arthur came out and led us up but it might help to have small signs if the campkeepers aren't present.
All in all, the location of the site is really central to a lot of things. I was interested in visiting the towns of Callicoon and Narrowsburg, eating at The Arnold House and visiting Buck Brook Alpacas while we were there, and we were able to do all of those things very easily! There is a lot to do in the area besides hanging out at the campsite. Arthur and Patti also supplied us with a lot of firewood and kindling so while we were at the site, we were able to have a fire and cook over it easily. Overall, I would recommend this site to other campers! Arthur and Patti were gracious campkeepers and the positives of the site outweigh any negatives, if they can even be called that. A lot of camping just depends on the weather and mother nature, so it can't be helped that it was so cold last weekend!”
“My wife and I decided to take our first ever camping trip. I researched this site for locations and we were impressed with the gorgeous pics at Lenapehoking Farm. We were excited yet nervous especially since we were also bringing our little dog (Shih Tzu) along. This was his first vacay with us too! The communication with Patti was excellent. She answered all my questions which alleviated most of our nervousness. Upon arrival, Patti met us and showed us the layout. We were very impressed with the amenities and especially the amazing views. This wasn't exactly roughing it but for city folks like us, it was and we enjoyed every minute. We went into town one day and followed Patti's recommendation to eat at Matthews. It was a great brunch! Our dog even enjoyed it. The rest of the time I enjoyed cooking our meals on the fire pit. It was a slow process at first but I finally got the hang of it. The highlights of our 2 day camping trip were: seeing deer on the property, drinking wine by the campfire, watching our dog enjoy his freedom around the huge property, making smores and most spectacular were the stars, thousands of them that my wife never saw before. So, to conclude, this was an excellent location to experience our first evers. Thank you Patti & Arthur for your great hospitality!”
