Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“The tent itself was good! The bed was comfy, it was great to have storage space for cooking stuff, and a table and chairs all there. Our problem was with the whole idea of a camp host. I guess I was under the assumption the tent would be ready when we got there. I got an email with our hosts email and phone number, I emailed to let him know what time we would be there. He said great. We got there at that time, and the tent was locked up. I tried calling the most multiple times, no answer, so I emailed again. I searched all of my emails from the company looking for a lock code. Nothing. Just instructions to check in with the host and the park headquarters. Of course the park headquarters also were locked so that didn’t help anything either. Finally I got through to the actual Tentrr company and the lady there was able to get me my code, but it was a lot of hassle. So we finally get in the tent and there are dead bugs on the mattress, the floor is covered in mouse poop, and there’s no water or anything ready to go. I understand it’s a tent, but I expected it to at least be clean upon arrival. Of course a mouse came in through the floor every night and ransacked our stuff, so maybe he’s a permanent resident. Other than that, the tent itself and the whole camping experience on the lake was very enjoyable. Good view, close to the water to beach our boat. We had to bring some boards to prop up one side of the fire pit because otherwise it was way too steep of a slant on that hill, and not safe to cook over. With the grill weight on it the fire pit wanted to tip, so if you want here, bring some two by fours to level it out.”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. They are investigating this resident mouse - as cute as they are, they must relocate! We are also searching for solutions for that slanted fire pit, and look forward to rectifying the situation as soon as possible.
Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope to see you out camping with us again soon!
Cheers!
