“A beautiful place, nice twalking trails and a creek nearby.
A lot if shade, what is very important in the summertime.
Very caring site-keeper.
Don’t forget a wasp spray! Black wasps are usually bit very aggressive(thanks god, no yellow jackets).
Take a tick spray. Nice star watching.
If you forget something, Walmart is 10 minutes away.”
“Very underwhelming. Host was phenomenal but whole business model/set up was underwhelming. At the very least, tentr needs to ship new tent canvas and professionally clean the old ones”
“Campkeeper was friendly and the location of the site was ideal for accessing Minnewasaka State Preserve or a short drive to other mountain ranges. We stayed mid October so the wood stove was greatly appreciated for heating the tent. However, although we were warned of green algae on the tent walls we did not expect every wall of the tent to be covered in what appeared to be aglae/mildew/mold. Being our first tentrr experience we weren't sure if this was standard but having spoken to friends who have done many tenttr locations they have never stayed in one with mildew and other photos from travellers did not show this issue. I believe it needs a good clean or perhaps replaced.”
“I was looking to get away from all the dings, bleeps, rings and screens for a few days...came across Starlight Starbright and took a chance. BIG WIN! Tucked down a short gravel road and walking distance to a rail trail and stream. Was able to feel pretty secluded - with exception of a few folks walking down the gravel road now and again - but being about 100 yards away it didn't bother me at all. It provided the perfect bike and kayak excursions without having to pack up and travel elsewhere.
Hosts had everything in place when I arrived and no surprises. I'm an experienced camper and came fairly self-contained with water, etc. and didn't use any of the water, etc provided. But it was there...no worries.
Sitting at the campfire you can easily see the stars overhead....very peaceful.
The tent had some external mold...but hey... you're in the woods. Expected and no issues for me. Wood furnace inside the tent was a lifesaver too!
And if you forgot to pack anything, Theres a convenience store maybe 1 mile down the road and a Walmart 15 minutes away. Great for when you run out of wood....
All in all...great trip as a solo camper looking to find some refuge in the woods. Hope to go back soon. Thanks Ritika!!!!”
“We had a wonderful experience at this campsite! The ability to take the boat out on the lake was such a perk. Idyllic setting and everything you could want from a camp site!”
