Had a great time. So fun exploring with our two dogs. Would like to go again and bring the whole family next time. A wonderful experience wandering through the game farm remembering so many wonderful childhood memories. Site was perfect if you have dogs. Completely fenced in with lots of room to run and play frisbee or ball after a day walking and exploring.

This site was amazing. We traveled with 2 dogs, one big and one small, and they both loved it. There is absolutely no way for them to get out of the site area, which is big, beautiful and totally secluded, so we could actually relax without wondering what they were getting into. Aside from the occasional car driving through the property all you hear is tree frogs and crickets and birds singing. Ben was an incredible campkeeper, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The barn was awesome for shelter, even though we were blessed with 3 beautiful days! There are 2 USB charging ports for cell phones in the barn, and though I much prefer to be disconnected while camping it was super handy to have cell service to be able to connect with Ben about fire wood and for any questions - he was extremely attentive and responsive. I don’t have one negative thing to say - Fido’s Vineyard is perfect and we can’t wait to come back for an even longer stay. Thank you Ben, Kate, Cathy and Kristin - we’ll see you soon!

This was my second time staying at the Abandoned Zoo (previously stayed at the Overlook site). I came back so my pup could enjoy the 1 acre fenced in site and WOW was this site incredible. All my friends were so impressed with the grounds and it was such a welcoming getaway from the City, but more importantly, my dog has THE BEST TIME EVER! Will definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time. Ben met us at the gate as planned and showed us the property including the Inn that had a kitchen, bathroom and shower that was available for our use. He then led us to Fido's Vineyard that was clean and ready for our stay including a filled water container and the firewood we had requested. The site is fully fenced and includes a barn/shed that has a table and nice storage for when it rains. The tent is on a platform which kept us nice and dry when it rained. We explored the abandoned zoo which was both surreal and sad, as it must have been a wonderful zoo ahead of the times when it was established. Our visit was relaxing and yet felt adventurous. We will be back for another visit.

Perfect place for a little getaway! The fenced in area was a great place for our 9 month old puppy to run around without us having to worry. We loved walking around the zoo and the convenience of having a variety of hiking trails nearby. The outdoor shower and coffee bar at the inn was definitely a bonus! I would recommend a trip here to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the great outdoors while still having a sense of comfort.

This is a fantastic little site, as suggested excellent for dogs. My best friend and I as well as my two chihuahuas really enjoyed our stay. The rain shelter with dining table, chairs and butcher block is great. It also has solar powered overhead light (and one in the tent) and usb chargers for cell phone etc. It was also fantastic to be able to use the coffee bar, half bath, and outdoor shower at The Long Neck Inn, which is adorable and nostalgic. The Old Game Farm is fun and interesting and location is so close to amazing natural attractions in the Catskills like hiking, lakes and waterfalls. Great campkeepers that provide a lot of info and are friendly and approachable. We saw lots of goldfinches while walking around the property, as well as a stag, groundhogs and chipmunks. Only criticism is the Tentrr Adirondack chairs felt a little oversized and weren’t very comfy for me, my legs dangled off front (I’m 5’5”), wish they were just lower to the ground, but the tent and bed were fantastic!!

We had a blast exploring the abandoned zoo! The camping was great too; I was impressed that we stayed dry in the tent when it rained and I was also impressed that the mattress was comfortable. The kids loved the entire experience and they will have great memories.
