They responded quickly and went above and beyond in making us comfortable. The food from the cafe was wonderful and made our cooking a breeze. “We had such a nice time in our 5-night stay at beautiful Calico Ridge. Shannon and Bob are superb hosts. They greeted us in person at their cafe and provided free ice along with the water we needed. But that was just the beginning. At the site, there are so many special touches, such as abundant firewood, comfortable chairs, a fly over the picnic table, a guidebook to local hikes and swimming holes, etc etc. And the expansive view of the sky (given that the site faces a farm field) means that you get fantastic sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. And it feels great to support folks who are leaders in sustainable farming. We could not have been happier.”
“the site was stella , and our hosts were amazing the farm tour was so inspiring to see what local farmers are doing and achieving . there was so much to do in the area , we also ordered food from the farm and everything was amazing .
i can't recommend this place enough ,
the only thing i would add and this is certainly not a complaint but i feel tentrr should recommend putting the toilet in an out house not in the tent ! we will be back as its so beautiful .”
“This was our very first camping trip with our 2 kids and it was a huge success!! Our host Kate and the entire Hayes family were super hosts!! My kids have not stopped talking about the farm tour and all the animals. We drive an electric vehicle and the hosts were so accommodating in figuring out a way to charge our car!! We absolutely loved the location and the delicious food at the cafe. We will be returning for sure:)”
“We had an amazing stay at Sap Bush Hollow. We enjoyed the views especially at night when the fireflies lit up the field. Kate, the campkeeper, was wonderful. We also enjoyed hiking around the area and finding swimming holes. We also did the farm tour which was a so fun for us and for our 10 yr old son. Our farm tour guide, Ula , was wonderful :)”
“We spent a weekend at this site and it was great. We are a family of four, two boys, 17 and 13. My wife grew up in the city so she is not into camping so I thought I would try this. The view is amazing and very peaceful. The accommodations were very comfortable. It did get very cold at night so we lit the stove in the tent and it got toasty warm. Some of the high lights: The starry nights, the fire flies were magical, fishing at looking glass pond, the tour of the farm seeing the baby lambs, pigs, and chicks. Kate was very helpful and brought extra water and wood when we needed it. We will probably go back again.”
“Amazing trip in a beautiful part of upstate New York. Location for tentrr site was accessible to numerous hiking trails, a local general store, cider house, and small restaurants. Sap Bush Farm offers a tasty assortment of farm fresh meats and pantry items - we loved the eggs and bacon! Our trip highlight was cooking on the open fire while overlooking the sheep pasture and mountains. Looking forward to our next Tentrr trip - everything was organized and well set up! Thankful for the thoughtfulness from the hosts in setting the camp site up.”
