“We had the perfect stay spending much of our time right in the chairs watching the river and all the wildlife. There were so many eagles! It was extremely quiet and private. Rich was very nice and welcoming and takes great pride in his beautiful land. Excellent little farmers market right down the road that's worth a stop in to prep for your stay. We had intense thunder storms both nights and stayed nice and dry! The river was pretty high from all the rain but we were still able to enjoy it and cool off near shore (lots of space to enjoy the water before the faster current). We hope to visit again soon!”

“This was our second stay at Riverhouse and have pretty much decided this would be an annual tradition. Lovely hosts (Richard greeted us with firewood and eggs from their chickens) and the gorgeous campsite is really hard to beat. It’s magical falling asleep to a hundred fireflies outside your tent and waking up to eagles catching their breakfast from the river. Thanks again for a great weekend!”
“This is a truly beautiful site. It is extremely private and well organized. We spent four wonderful nights here and had an amazing time! Richard and Mary were great hosts. We spent our days grilling, swimming in the river, and just enjoying the scenery and wildfire. Daily sightings of bald eagles, jumping fish, cranes and deer. The site is very shaded so we were never too hot and when it rained we were able to stay dry. The river is great for swimming but bring good water shoes or sneakers because the bottom is very rocky. The air mattress was pretty loud at first, but we spread out a large blanket underneath and placed a mattress topper on top and found it to be very cozy. We will definitely be returning!”
