“A one of a kind camping experience! Rich and Mary were wonderful hosts and have such a beautiful property. The site sits just steps from Delaware River offering an exquisite view. We had heavy rain when we arrived, which was a bummer, but we set up some chairs in the tent and enjoyed watching the lighting over the river. The rain soon passed and the clouds cleared to reveal the full moon with Mars over it's right shoulder. Splendid on it's own, even better when we discovered the pair of vintage binoculars on the night stand! We cooked over the fire, slept to the peaceful sounds of raindrops on the leaves and the taught canvas roof, and awoke to the view of the river at our feet. Spent the day exploring the area, grabbed fresh bagels at Muheisen's Hot Bagel & Deli, had lunch at Hot Dog Johnny's, and tucked back into our site to lounge on the hammock with a book, chat by the fire, and just enjoy the sounds of nature around us. The river was a bit rough for swimming, but on a calmer day, you could spend the day just floating in the water camp side. Oh, and we caught a glimpse of an eagle soaring right passed the site! Spectacular! Rich & Mary, you have such a wonderfully peaceful place. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. We look forward to returning when the fall colors start coming in!!”
