“My friends and I really enjoyed spending two nights at the Lake View Retreat. Lori and Steve were so kind and helpful, bringing us firewood and the eggs that I purchased were delicious! I highly recommend visiting the town itself of Cooperstown, the Doubleday Cafe was great, and the winery Pail Shop was also a highlight. So much to see and just enjoy the fall weather this weekend was amazing! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us ☺️”
“Perfect place to escape from it all for a few days. Gorgeous view and lots of deer frolicking around. It's a short drive to Glimmerglass State Park, for swimming and a little hiking. Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame) is equally close by, and a great little town to stroll through (we especially liked Schneiders Bakery and Stagecoach Coffee). As other reviews have mentioned, there aren't any trees on the campsite so bring a sun tent if possible. Lori is super nice, be sure to get some fresh eggs.”
“The Campkeeper made it very simple for us and we didn’t have to interact at all due to covid concerns. The proximity to Lake Otsego and Cooperstown can’t be beat. It is a beautiful area and we enjoyed kayaking on the lake as well as some time in town. The campsite is in the middle of a field which is not ideal - no shade during the day, no place to hang the sun shower, and open to the elements at night. It was very windy without any tree cover. It also got really cold at night despite the 90 degree days so remember to pack lots of blankets and layers. Two blankets and long sleeve pants and shirt didn’t cut it. Insulated sleeping bag probably best. This was my first time staying in a tentrr and I would do it again.”
“My husband, Cattle dog, and I had an amazing time at Lake View! The views were absolutely breathtaking! The tent, bench, and fire pit were perfect- all one needs. Now that it’s July, the sun will wake you up so we brought a shade pop up and it was perfect. What a great way to get out of the city and enjoy a long weekend! 5 stars for sure”
“Camp Keeper canceled reservations 2 days before we were supposed to arrive. Very disappointed. They started they had sold the land. I contacted Tenttr and although they tried to assist me in finding a new place to stay, there was nothing available with such short notice. Not sure I will be using tentrr again because of this.”
