“Fantastic site and hosts! Communicating with Lori was a pleasure as she was thoughtful, thorough, responsive and offered great tips for things to do nearby. The site was a little tricky to find the first time but once we were there it was everything we wanted: quiet, isolated and with a view that was absolutely incredible. Despite being a bit windy and stormy the first night we had a quick fire and then ate inside the Tentrr tent just as the rain started. The sunrise over the hills was breath-taking and with the broad view we could watch the clouds move over the land and see weather coming and going from afar. Deer frequently watched us casually from other parts of the field and turkeys wandered about freely. The breeze kept the bugs from being much of a nuisance and the sun kept things warm during the day (note: there is very little shade to be had so bring your own if you need it). Nights get a little chilly even in August, so bring layers. The only other advice worth mentioning is, if you're a group of people, consider bringing a separate tent to use for the Tentrr Loo box. Otherwise it lives in the Tentrr tent. We brought it out into the open and gave each other privacy as needed, which worked fine for a party of 3. Overall a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning!”
“Lori and her family were so helpful and responsive. They gave great local recommendations like Council Rock Brewery and multiple swimming holes minutes drive from the tent. The tent had everything as advertised plus a couple of things on general list that we were expected to bring. That was very nice of Lori and company. The view was amazing especially waking up to it and at night with all the stars. We even had an amazing lightning show across the lake. Do understand that this is still a tent and there are bugs that get in like spiders and cattapillers but mosquitoes were kept out by all the netting. Only constructive criticism for this location is to provide some kind of stand or pole for the sun shower as the nearest trees were too far as we were smack in the middle of a beautiful Hill surrounded by a grassy meadow.”
“This was our first time using Tentrr. I would have to say it was a wonderful experience from the beginning. Our particular camp was very nice with a picturesque view. Within hours we were greeted by deer and turkey. The serene setting was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Our Camp Keeper was absolutely awesome! From communication to a well kept camp we were pleasantly surprised. This was definitely a hidden gem that we will be revisiting again. Definitely recommended. Thank you for sharing your land and the awesome experience!!”
“We had the greatest time staying at the lake view retreat! Lori was so helpful with her messages and Steve even came out upon our arrival to give us something to block out the wind to make it easier to light up the fire pit for grilling. The campsite sits at the top of a secluded field with a wonderful view to Ostego lake. It was truly the best camping experience with all of the amenities included, the most breathtaking view and charming town to visit! My boyfriend and I loved our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning! I highly recommend this campsite!”
