My partner & I stayed here for a few days after Labor Day for our anniversary. It was a great site! Loved waking in the mornings to see the meadow covered in a blanket of mist with the sun rising behind the tree lines. What a view! The creek is easily accessible. It is behind the tent site; the sounds of the water movement were lovely to fall asleep to at night. However, we didn't have time to make use of the doughnuts (black circular tubes) as we went to hike different trails in the surrounding area. We are looking forward to coming back sometime soon to explore the trails that are right by the site & especially take a few dips in the creek! A big thank you to Max & his family for opening up his land to allow us to have this experience : )

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend! The grounds were clean and Schoarie creek was easily accessible. I was able to relax on a float, my husband was able to fish, and our dog was able to splash around. We are looking forward to coming back again soon!

This is the 2nd time six of us spent 3-4 days in this campsite. Had a wonderful time despite mixed weather (incl. severe thunderstorms). The tents held up very well, with the occasional leak in the main Tentrr tent - to be expected. The creek is a great way to enjoy a dip, and there are several hip-deep spots to fully bathe in (a few of us even waded through a large portion of it for a fun adventure). The grill worked very well and Max makes sure the $15 firewood charge is a large box that includes a lot of dry kindling. The camp site got soaked by the thunderstorms but it dried up quickly once the sun was out. And yes, there were ticks in the tall grass areas but that is definitely to be expected (clearly some reviewers don't camp often). If you're in need of food/water, Tannersville is a 10min drive away. There are a lot of fun day hikes in the area, including lakes / waterfalls. Max is very responsive, accommodating, and super friendly. We would not hesitate to camp here for a 3rd time.

The stay overall was okay. The location is great, and the property as a whole is beautiful. But this was our first time using a tentrr, and as avid campers, some changes definitely need to be made. First, there was a dirty bedsheet on the bed when we arrived (we brought our own bedding per the listing). We’ve camped in the winter before but never has as many issues with the cold as we did this weekend. There are way too many gaps in the tent for it to retain heat. There are actual openings where cold air (and water when raining) just come through. It was raining a lot of the time during our stay, and water just came into the tent to the point where our belonging were soaked. It needs to be much better secured. There is a stove in the tent to use for heat, but it was wet inside it so our wood wouldn’t burn and therefore we couldn’t get the tent heated. Also, wood is $15 a bundle. We frequent the area and it’s usually $5 a bundle, so $15 a bundle is a bit much and you have to buy from them only. The bed also loses air very fast. Overall, the stay wasn’t the most enjoyable. Gorgeous property and close by town, but we would’ve been much more comfortable in our own tent with our own air mattress.

We had an incredible visit to Sugarloaf Mountain Meadows Camp this weekend. The site was absolutey stunning, the tent and equipment were everything we needed and the host was wonderful. We had two adults and two kids under 10 years old in the tent and there was plenty of room. When it was cold we fired up the wood stove to heat the tent. We are ready to rebook for this summer and again in the fall.

Same as the person before us. The spot is perfect and beautiful. And Max is very nice ! But between what Tentrr advertises and what you get there is a very big difference. It didn't work out for us !!
