Very cool spot, just didn’t work out for us unfortunately.

Great spot right by a stream. Max was very responsive with a lot of recommendations. But beware of ticks! They are bad this season, so remember the bug spray! Site is good for large groups, but ended up being a lot more expensive than was hoping for with camping.

Our family (including a 12 & 17 year old and 2 dogs) had a wonderful time at SCM - It was our first TENTRR experience and we highly recommend it! Max was a great communicator and answered any questions we had via email or text, while giving us all of the privacy we were looking for in a socially-distanced getaway. The area is beautiful and the campsite was lovely with a private, running creek, beautiful wooded area, & open meadows that we all enjoyed playing in- our kids were wet & muddy by the end of each afternoon, which meant it was a successful day filled with simple fun- exactly what we wanted. We recommend bringing some camp chairs so you can sit in the woods with a drink in the early evening admiring the view of the creek below as we did. I felt like I could sit in that spot forever. There is also a very comfy hammock tucked away in this area, which was also great. Listening to the owls each night and what were possibly coyotes howling was an unexpected treat! The star-filled sky was unbelievable, so much so that we adults and teens couldn’t stop saying how amazing it was as we all stood around looking up at the sky in the middle of the night. You know what I mean if you have two teens agreeing on something that also doesn’t involve a screen- successful parenting moment! (Don’t forget your binoculars, although they’re not a necessity.) We cooked our meals & popped popcorn over the fire (we brought a camping tripod that holds a Dutch oven, which is always enjoyable to use). Again, a big hit with our kiddos. It got quite chilly overnight and we made use of the wood stove which was great to warm up the tent. We used firewood that Max had left for purchase in a lidded bin (keeps it dry) by the barn as well as some extra we picked up at the grocery store in nearby Tannersville. It rained a bit on our first afternoon and one evening but we were treated to a big beautiful rainbow and our tent stayed nice & dry! Our dogs loved exploring in the woods and playing in the open meadow, where we saw hawks flying across as well as hummingbirds on the edge of the woods. No need to worry about the camp loo, either- suddenly becomes less of a concern when it’s your only option...And it seems much more sanitary & clean than a porta-potty! To sum it all up, this campsite had everything we needed and we had an amazing couple of days together as a family. We highly recommend it, especially when it’s so important right now. I wish we could upload pictures to our review to share more of how great this was. Thank you, Max! -The Wilson’s
