Had an amazing time staying there. Creek was out of this world, beautifully secluded and Max was super nice. Definitely going to camp again

This camp site is the most idyllic location for those looking to beat the summer heat up north. Max is super helpful and always accomadating. Looking forward to returning next summer!

We had a fantastic weekend at this Tentrr site! The setting is just beautiful, and we loved the combination of meadow, forest, and stream - perfect for a refreshing dip and provides relaxing white noise at night. While it's a short drive off the road, it feels completely isolated and remote. We brought our dog with us and we're able to keep her off-leash the whole time with no concerns. We did an awesome hike of Sugarloaf Mt which you can easily access from the campsite, and Tannersville is a quick 8 min drive with restaurants/grocery/gas stations. Hunter Mt Brewery is also very close. Max was very helpful and communicative, and provided great recommendations for our weekend. I would absolutely recommend this site and would love to go back!

This was such a lovely spot! The property abuts a state park so you can literally walk to the trailhead. The spot itself was GORGEOUS. Having never used Tentrr before, I was mostly a little wary of the toilet scenario, which they describe very accurately and fairly in the description. That said, it was fine. We ended up taking it outside to do our business. Beyond that, it was exactly what we were looking for. The tent held up wonderfully during a rainstorm, and on one of the chilly nights we fired up the wood stove. I loved the little camp kitchen setup as well. The host was super responsive and even sent a map that showed us where all the trails were on the property. LOVED IT!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this site. It's up Hunter mountain and isolated away from the noise and worries of the world. The site was clean and ready upon our arrival. Had some difficulty setting up the dome tent, but that's moreso a reflection of my limited tent skills than what was offered at the camp. I brought my mom, 8yo daughter, and 11 & 12 yr old nieces. Oh, and my lil cattle dog came along as well. The location was great! If you want serenity, isolation and a nice mix of woods and open plain, this spot is perfect. I plan on going back in the spring to take advantage of the creek behind the tent site. The owner provided tubes but it was way too cold to get in the water. Also great was the owner's quick feedback and communication. He was away for the weekend but answered questions and concerns promptly. firewood was left behind the barn and we were able to locate most things easily. As stated in the other reviews, make sure you bring bug spray, ESPECIALLY for your dog! I had a flea and tick collar on him, and checked him often, and he was still bitten by a tick. He seems ok, but definitely make sure you protect your pet. My kids were fine, as were me and my mom. Be sure to rent the grill and bring enough firewood. Can't hurt to bring lighter fluid, either. The actual grill that goes over the firepit was bent, so we couldn't really use it well. Also, be sure to bring utensils, plates, cookware, bags and water. Bring your own flashlights, lanterns and torches, because it gets reaaaally dark out! The owner left us some water, but for a party of 5 it worked out well that we brought plenty of our own supplies. The campsite was very clean and ready for us when we arrived, so we made sure to leave it that way. I'm sure there were animals around, but none bothered us and we felt comfortable letting the kids roam and play in the surrounding woods. All in all, its a great location for a nice getaway, would go back!

This site was absolutely perfect! Max and Karen welcomed us to their land and shared a bit of its history, and gave us walking directions to a trailhead at the border of their property. Although the site is easy to get to right off a main road, the location and amount of trees made it feel secluded and peaceful. Our dogs loved running freely around the site, dipping into the stream to cool off. I can't wait to book this site again!

Awesome trip. Even the drive up to the land was incredible. Site is in a beautiful field with creek, and a great swimming hole, right behind it. Max and his wife were delightful hosts. We will definitely come again.

I came to Schoharie Creek with a group of ten and everyone really enjoyed the campsite. There was plenty of space and privacy. The location is beautiful, close to hiking and has a great spot for swimming in the creek right near the campsite. Max the host was friendly and very helpful in setting up an additional large tent.
