“The property gets an A+. The location and view are awesome. This was our 2nd Tentrr experience and both were good, but the condition of the tents and mattresses were awful. Holes in the tents and soft /unusable air mattresses. C’mon Tentrr staff…get it together if you’re going to charge the rates you do! In both cases, owners.said multiple attempts to get a response have gone inserted. This is a great concept, but needs better execution!”
“It is my favorite TentRR spot.
However-bring everything with you.
No promised 5-gallon water, no camp shover.
The worst part -no trash can. So the camp keeper does the least possible job.
However - location, location, location.
Also beware of poison ivy - it is over apple trees. Cows are like white unicorns. The view to The Mohonk Ridge are stunning.
Tent is clean.”
“As other campers have mentioned, the views of the mountain and the sky are stunning. The farm store is also lovely and fun to peruse.
However, we left after the first night. Unfortunately, the holes and general wear and tear in the tent that other campers mentioned have not yet been addressed. They’re not huge, but enough that our wood got wet the first night and because the wood stove was not fully emptied of ash from prior stays we struggled to maintain a fire that burned long enough to keep the tent warm in winter weather (I have wood stove experience from growing up with one, there should always be a shovel around to empty ashes). This was my first Tentrr experience, and even though a lot of necessaries are provided, it’s not quite enough for winter camping in the case of this site. Tentrr should have flagged the tent holes long before winter rolled around.
Our camp keeper was very friendly when we ran into her at the farm store! But she even mentioned herself that she doesn’t look at her emails... She responded to my very first email, but didn’t really answer our questions and when we emailed again she didn’t respond. So, this would have been helpful to know beforehand. I would have happily texted her but it’s not the first thing I do in these Airbnb situations unless the person makes that clear beforehand. Again, the location is beautiful, but I probably won’t do Tentrr again because of the maintenance issues. Maybe it was bad idea for us to camp in December, but we’re not first time campers and I think some of these issues could have been prevented. We bought like 7 different kinds of jam at the farm store though! All said, I think this is a better summer location. But even then, holes in the tent and you’d get bugs for sure!”
