“View was absolutely gorgeous! Perfect getaway for a few nights, very quiet and secluded but only a few minutes to downtown New Paltz if cooking over the fire gets old. Would definitely recommend!”
“we loved the spot. The view was amazing and so peaceful. The area is great for hiking and New Paltz is a cute town to visit.
The tentrr was great, with a great campfire pit. There was no water tank or shower available. It was fine for us but good to know before you head out.”
“The view was impeccable! Waking up to just birds chirping and cows mooing was pure bliss. It was our first time camping and thank goodness we were well prepared. Thanks again for having us, it was an experience for the books!”
“Beautiful site, with a sweeping view of the Shawangunk ridge, just as advertised. Facing west, we experienced the most beautiful panoramic sunsets. Visually, really private, and very well kept.
The site didn't come with water, and I discovered that owner Tammy is seldom at home in the "campkeeper's home", but instead can be found in her store down route 208 at Wright's farm market. She very kindly filled up my water jugs in her store.
My only minor gripe? Because of its location just off the main road, you can hear the traffic zoom by all day, and this is especially prominent waking up early in the morning.”
“It was on beautiful field/farm and super private and convenient location to activities nearby.
However, there were few maintenance problems.
Air mattress(Top one) must had a hole somewhere, so we had to fill the air multiple times and also both mattresses had stains all over.
Loo wasn't cleaned enough(urines inside without liner) and no water jug was on site.(Camp keeper told us it was on outside of her driveway, but we decided not to bother bringing & filling the water )
There were lots of beetles(I mean a lot) inside tent, so we had to try to move them outside as much as possible, but they kept coming out of everywhere.
This was our first experience with Tentrr and we didn't expect to deal with uncleanness, uncomfortable & squeaky mattresses & beetles.
I think I prefer camping with my own tent at well maintained camping site.”
“Exceptionally private and picturesque campsite. Really enjoyed heading to Gardiner nearby and the apple picking/brewery/music at Wright's Farm. Some bugs had collected in the Tentrr tent before our arrival but that doesn't seem unusual. Would definitely come again.”
“We had a blast at 1772 LeFevre House! In addition to the lovely cows (a perfect distance away), we were visited by a deer and a groundhog. We went hiking and swimming at nearby Split Rock and cooked our meals over the campfire and under the stars. We made many visits to Wrights Farm Market about a mile away and took home the most delicious jams, heirloom tomato salsa, salami, cheese, fresh fruit, apple cider donuts, and pie. The entrance to the campsite is tricky to find after dark because the Tentrr sign is so small, but we managed. Highly recommend!”
