First of all if anyone is planing to go with more than 4 people you need to bring your own mattress they are not going to provide any even though you pay for 6 people. And also the camp keeper didn’t even come down to show us the tent and also around how things would be and what kind of forest are we living in noting not details were provided you need to bring your own chairs there is only two chairs, we had a stay of 2 nights and we only stayed there for a night because the camps were so filled filled of insects, it wouldn’t clean as much as you try to clean it the dust and every thing, if you are paying $200 for a night you expect to have better quality of bad or at-least the bathroom. Overall i gave it this rating only because of the place and pond it self otherwise i dont recommend going there for more than two hours

Didn’t get too much shut eye because of all the bugs inside the tent, and the host wasn’t very responsive. But besides that, the area was really well maintained and scenic.

Love this site! Nice and open area with lots of space for camping and hanging out. Definitely advise to bring floats for lazing around the pond :)

Small family had the best overnight trip! We enjoyed swimming, collecting firewood, and walking the trails around the campground. The sounds of the bugs at night were better than any white noise machine, appreciated the size of the tent. With bunk beds my husband and I slept below and the 2 children played cards into the wee hours. The pond does require a bit of bravery.

it's a beautiful site and Ralph was responsive and kind. Pond was super fun and refreshing. Nice to swim off the dock. We were two families with kids and a dog. Unfortunately, the dock broke early in the day and so did the shower bag when we filled it with water. We don't think we were particularly rough but these things happen and Ralph came as soon as he could to fix the dock well enough so that we could use it for the rest of our stay. We appreciated this very much. Also, wanted to note that there was some broken glass on the site when we arrived but Ralph helped us clean this up. Bugs were not bad suprisingly but bug spray and citronella candles probably helped. BBQ tools were not on site, just brush to clean grill.

Our group of 6 stayed at Vista Valley early August. The land was beautiful. There were no bugs. It was nice and cool at night. Sitting on the dock overlooking the pond was relaxing. It was nice to be outside away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ralph was responsive to any questions we had. To no fault of Ralph's, I don't think Tentrr camping was for us. In the pictures, everything looked brand spanking new and clean, so I guess was kind of expecting that. The tents, dock, table, etc., have all aged and were a bit ragged. There were no tongs. The grill grate was broken. There was a decent amount of dirt inside the dome tent that we had to clean out. Many of the spikes for the tent were bent. Also, the toilet and shower situation are not for the faint of heart. There were only four toilet bags supplied for six people for two days. The toilet sounded a bit more glamorous than it was. It's a wooden box with a bucket that you tie the bags to, with a toilet seat on top. Since there were only four bags, we had to reuse them. This is not ideal, especially for women. The shower is a bag of water hung from a tree. I don't really know what I was expecting, but for the price we paid, this was a bit more "roughing it" than I would have liked. Again, none of this is Ralph's fault. But like I said, I just don't think Tentrr is for everyone. If I ever camp again, it will be at a park that has shower and toilet facilities. One other note about the dock and pond. The first night, we had the dock to ourselves, and it was beautiful. The second night, we got back to the campsite and the dock and the pond had been completely taken over by another large family staying at the other nearby Tentrr site. There was no way for us to share. So, please keep that in mind when booking. The pond is what "makes" the site, in my opinion. There is a chance you may not be able to enjoy it for at least part of your stay.
