Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“My best friend, our two daughters and I enjoyed the expansive views, the nearby apple orchards and the whispering of the trees at this bucolic camp site. Jerry was kind and helpful, all our needs were attended to, and we had a lot of fun.”
“Liberty Hill was a great spot for our family! Jerry was very welcoming and checked to make sure we had everything after we arrived. We loved the privacy of the site on his property, and liked that we were a short drive from Pine Grove Furnace State Park and hikes.
For kids, the campsite has a few nice trails cut through the woods for exploring, plus rocks to climb on and sticks to collect, plus we were able to walk through the orchard. We loved reading in the hammock and playing catch in the nice open area. There's a good mix of sun and shade throughout the site.
A few things for future guests to know - the site is near a VFD, and we did hear one alarm while we were there. There is some road noise (mostly noticeable from Harleys), but definitely less overall noise than you would have from a traditional campsite. Additionally, the campsite has a small hatchet, but if you may need something heavier duty to split wood for the fire pit, or consider bring your own wood in.
Additional things to note in the time of COVID - we didn't spend a lot of time "in town" but we got ice cream from the Cameo Drive In and stopped at a farm stand. Most people were wearing masks and maintained social distance. We were able to maintain our distance from other hikers in Pine Grove, but later in the day it got more crowded, so might have become more difficult.
We'd definitely recommend Liberty Hill and Tentrr to friends.”
“A really beautiful spot, both private and with an amazing sunset view. Jerry came to find us when we got a little turned around trying to find the road to the site, and kindly showed us the way. Definitely interested in staying at Liberty Hill Camp again.”
“Gorgeous vista and setting for a camping trip. Truly a stunning view of the surrounding farm land and a beautifully set up camp to enjoy nature. Consider bringing extra lighting and all things you need for cooking because your only light at night will be the fireplace and cooking is done on the camp grill! Definitely worth it to come spend the weekend.”
“This Tentrr site was stunning. The views of rolling hills and apple orchards across PA were unmatched by anything we've seen! It was a pleasure being able to enjoy a campfire-made dinner with that as a backdrop.
There were some easy hikes close by. Pole Steeple is a super short (yet steep) hike option a quick drive away and it only takes about 30 mins to reach the peak of the hike where you can see ridgelines across the state!
We very much enjoyed our two nights.”
“liberty hill camp is such a gem! the campsite is very well-maintained and close to two amazing forests. jerry was extremely welcoming and attentive as a host and his orchard is lovely. my only constructive criticisms are that the maps leading up to the site are a bit unclear, and you can hear a a little bit of car/neighbor noise, so you don't feel totally remote. would still stay here again in a heartbeat!”
