“Not a happy camper! I bought this for our weekend camping trip to hopefully substitute a 30-40$ propane stove with 10x1$ canisters. I spent 200$ on this plus 10$ for a Coleman canister for a single meal while the propane combination worked for 5 meals! I just couldn’t get the 9kg LPG cylinder I carried to work with this! Delivery from tentworld was quick, within 2 days of the order which is great. During installation the battery compartment failed to open (cheap screw and compartment door) so I couldn’t get the insta-start ignition to work, not a big problem as I could use another lighter. Next the gas hose that comes included doesn’t connect with the 9kg LPG cylinder I bought from Bunnings. I had to go back to Bunnings to buy a POL to 3/8 adaptor. I think the tentworld website fails to mention that and even when I made a call to just make sure I was told it will work with an LPG without any mention of the need for external adaptors. With the Coleman canister we noted that the right burner turned the pot support red hot because the flame was extra high. If you turn down the flame the pot wasn’t getting enough heat and took a while to cook. The cheap knobs don’t work the best. We didn’t buy more of the expensive Coleman canisters and continued to use the cheaper propane combination for the rest of the weekend. Slow but steady. All in all, not worth the trouble in my humble opinion.”

“I bought this Eventemp stove a few years ago due to the fact it has three burners, and a griddle that fits perfectly on the stove. The three burners allow you to get a nice even heat across the griddle plate. Thus the name Eventemp! The griddle is great for BBQing, frying eggs and cooking pancakes. I did not buy the stove for the electric start, but it's been a great unexpected feature. When I go camping for weekends, I generally use the little disposable Coleman gas cartridges as it saves space in the car for other things. However, when I go camping for more than a few days, I use the gas hose onto a 4kg gas cylinder as it's economical and better for the environment. This works well. I also bought the carry bag for my stove, I would really recommend getting this. It has kept my stove looking good, but also has a spot for the griddle and two gas cylinders making carrying it to a park bench etc very simple and convenient. This saves having to fight over who is next on the public BBQs or needing to clean up the mess there. Due to my purchase of the Eventemp stove, my father in law and and sister in law have both bought the same stove due to how impressed they were with ours. Only minor complaint with the Eventemp would be that the control knobs to achieve a particular temperature can be a little fiddly, sometimes requiring you to over burn and then adjust down slowly. I think if the knobs were a little firmer to turn this would solve this, but it's not a major issue. I would recommend this stove to anyone who's looking for a good quality, large camping stove.”
