I took my OzTrail Tasman 4V Plus out for its first overnighter last weekend. This tent has good headroom - I'm 6'2" (187cm) and can stand up well enough. The Plus model has and extra extension that is perfect as a bike storage. I can ride the bike in, park it overnight then ride out. Package contains base (floor and netted inner), fly with extension with guy ropes already attached, two collapsible cross members, a third shorter collapsible member, and pegs, with a bag for pegs and a bag for the collapsed members. Erection is typical of this style. I pegged the base square with four pegs, assembled the two members, fit each in succession (slide through the top loop, compress onto the locking pins on the corner of the floor, clip the inner net, done), throw the fly over and peg it down sliding the shorter third member into the sleeve, and compress onto the locking pins. Re-peg to square off the front vestibule, complete the pegging process with guys (if needed). it took me 20 mins to set it up at home by myself. On site, winds ran to 15+ knots, so I set some springs in three of the guy lines and pegged those. With the wind and extra effort it took me (alone) about 25 mins. This tent has good access with four doors, so I can enter and exit from the rear if the bike is inside. Even with the bike there's plenty of storage in the vestibule. I have owned many tents, and found this to be extremely good value (paid $129 at Tentworld Burleigh), and well suited to my purpose of occasional weekends away, although I’ve not had it heavy rain nor extreme heat as yet. It has plenty of room for two or more, and fits well across the back of the bike, not extending past the panniers.

The extra space at the front is great, but this is definitely only a tent for summer/warm weather. There is no fly close to the mesh on the inside so there is not much protection from the cold. It also seems to allow water through (even heavy condensation) - especially the front section. The 2nd time we used it, we tried to tighten the front section more, but still found we couldn't touch the entrance-way at all, or we would get wet.

I bought this tent Apr last year after a dismal experience with pop-up 2-person tent from Kmart. While it takes some practice, the tent can be set up by one person. The vestibule is a terrific add-on providing extra storage space. The two largish D-doors at the side provide easy access to the tent. Front and back canopies provide shade and ventilation in hot weather. Although it is designed for 4 people, accommodating 2 adults will be very comfortable. The tent has served me well through autumn/winter/spring last year, as well as summer this year. Highly recommended for first timers!

I bought this tent for my son. It is the first tent we have ever owned and we were all really impressed with how spacious it is and how easy it is to set up. My son was particularly impressed with the height - he is 6 feet tall and can stand up in the middle of the tent. The large windows and double doors mean lots of ventilation and the 'verandah' will be great for many uses. He hasn't actually been camping yet but has set it up and taken it down twice without any difficulty. He is really looking forward to trying it out for real, in the great outdoors :) Thanks for this great value for money product.
