“The Stax pair SR-X9000 & SRM-T8000 has been – for me – a very important investment dedicated to headphone listening, driven by the large use I do of headphones (used to listening to music at very late times) and to an ‘obsession’ for soundstage, coherency, detail and transparency, particularly for jazz and classical records. The Stax pair delivered all this, with a quality and naturality that I did not experience before. What shines for me is the level of detail that the pair is able to deliver – which made me ‘re-discover’ some of the records I like, as if they were new to me. Transparency, as for any hi-fi system, works as an inflexible judge of the quality of recordings, and the Stax pair is in this respect an extremely inflexible judge of whatever you push through them. What you pay in case of bad recordings is returned in greater quantities on good quality records, where the naturality and detail of the scene are breathtaking. Make sure you go through a substantial burn-in period (over 100 hours) to have them performing at their best. Also, make sure you can place the SRM-T8000 in a well-aerated place.”

“I absolutely love this combination, the T8000 and STAX900s. the highs and midrange are liquid in their presentation while the bass is absolutely tremendous! If you are looking for a top class combination then do not look any further...you have found it! Absolutely terrific.”

“I was not prepared for how good this combination was going to sound, I knew it would be good but boy it has blown me away! From mids to highs it is so liquid and do not underestimate the bass....it is absolutely tremendous. If you are even considering then stop...go ahead and buy it. I can tell you that I am thoroughly enjoying it and would not hesitate to recommend it to any prospective buyers. It's a winner!”
