An upgrade to my P3 that that I purchased from Audiobarn a few years ago. Delighted with my purchase. Looks and sounds fabulous - wish I had made the upgrade earlier.

In receiving the Regar Planar 8 turntable and factory installed Apheta 3 stylus, I was most impressed with the level of audio engineering, contemporary design aesthetic and performance; everything really. The lightweight structure of the plinth and contrasting platter appear to have added significant clarity to the detail in my vinyl. The precision of guitar playing, and percussion are enhanced together with a much clearer soundstage and crisp vocals. Analog warmth underpins this and the silence between tracks is so noticeable. Put simply, I could not be happier.

I brought the PL8 Apheta 3 to replace my Rega RP6 - Ortofon QBlue - Lehmann Statement Black Cube. I must admit, I was astonished at the difference, Speed, imaging, attack and decay rates are stunningly fast, with plenty of weight. I spent some time setting up the Anti Skate to Tracking weight relationship (about 4 to 5 Albums) and this was well worth the effort. Along with my Naim Sn3 & ATC scm19s i'm sure this deck will be with me for a very long time.

Having upgraded from a P1 4 years ago to a P3 then an RP8 and finally the P8 with Apheta3 I would say I know Rega tables but every one offered that bit more until the P8 which was an astounding improvement! Beautifully made, functional and fantastic sound, which I’m sure will be improved upon when I collect my new valve amplifier! If I had to find a fault or floor it would be only this, the stylus guard is extremely small and very fiddly to fit! And causes me to be very nervous when trying to fit it! But aside of that the TT itself is amazing! I don’t normally stick with the same manufacturer however the Regas have offered everything I’ve wanted and come to expect!
