A great record cleaning machine. The black version looks really cool. It's fairly easy to use, with a logical software menu. Good, thorough cleaning, yet quite difficult to remove fingerprints or similar stains. Moreover, it's quite noisy in my opinion, especially the last part of the cleaning operation, drying the record. Therefore, I would not recommend listening to music whilst cleaning a record, as it will affect the audition quality.

Easy to use and very effective. If you have a largish collection well worth considering. And it looks pretty good too!

I’m on my third Degritter and the product just seems to get better .I have tried ultrasonic alternatives from a competitor and although I was fairly happy with the product I didn’t get the cleaning results that I get with the Degritter. I have to say and this is in no way a criticism but I don’t clean picture discs on the Degritter as occasionally the results are less than favourable and I have caused damage to a couple .

I did a fair anout of research on record cleaners before purchasing the Degritter and wasn't disapointed with my choice. As a test I played some vinyl I had bought from new and previously cleaned, cleaned it again with the Degritter (not expecting much change), but the difference was like a major turn table upgrade, with more detail and realism than before. It would be interesting to compare upgrading a turntable, cartride or phone stage for the equivalent price, I suspect in most cases the Degritter would easily win

I purchased this originally to clean second-hand and old (70’s upwards) vinyl. I was really fortunate to pick up a copy of Frampton Comes Alive for very little that had obviously been stored somewhere damp but played very little. Go Degritter! (without any cleaning fluid, which makes it all the more impressive) both discs came out looking like new, more importantly, sounding as if they were new. I think with sensible, judicious use, this will be a really good tool in my armoury. Some new pressings arrive with fingerprints(!) and yes, I care about my vinyl and have a good, maybe very good system, so feel that this isn’t an unnecessary purchase, far from it; why spend a lot on a playback system and then not look after the source? You’ll only hear something and definitely not everything and that is where Degritter comes in. You’ll certainly find out if it’s a good pressing or not!! (Other equipment notwithstanding) Highly recommended. Well thought out and well manufactured equipment.

Like most things in the Hifi world you learn to take things with a pinch of salt ( think snake oil ), so after watching and reading online reviews I decided to audition the Degritter at the Audiobarn in Harlow. I have owned other record cleaning machines including vacuum machines so was sceptical that something could clean vinyl that much better, well, to say that I was with some records amazed would be an understatement, shortly after the audition I placed an order and have now cleaned in the region of 80 records and I can honestly say that all have been transformed, there is more detail revealed, in fact more of everything. All the records cleaned had been cleaned before with my old system so there is no denying its calibre . In short, I believe that the Degritter is a game changer and should be at the top of the list of every serious vinyl audiophile, regardless of cost, it has set a very high bar.

If you are into your vinyl then this cleaner is a must. For nearly forty years I have been trying to clean records, but the Degritter MK2 going by my experience is as good as it is going to get. I am more than happy with my one. Under the right light when placing record on turntable you can see an incredible difference, and clears away most crackles too. I am delighted with my purchase. You could have any amplification equipment but if the needle is not fully in the groove then you are restricted.
