“Costing as much as the NSC 222 it powers, at first the NPX 300 may at first appear an extravagance and, given the great performance of the NSC 222/NAP 250 package, an unnecessary cost at that. However, this is most certainly not the case, out of the box adding the external power source to the NSC 222 opens up its already stunning performance yet further, delivering deeper insights into the source material - a truly lightbulb moment. The NSC 222/NPX 300/NAP 250 system is capable of genuinely reference standards at this price point and is just so enjoyable to listen to. I can't fault it at all.”

“Although we didn’t compare the NPX 300 power supply against our original XPS DR, auditioning the 300 in conjunction with the New Classic NAP 250 power amplifier and NSC 222 preamplifier immediately showed an enhanced sound quality. The NSC 222 preamplifier without an external power supply is already very good so I was secretly hoping that the difference with the 300 would not be easy to detect, so saving money, but that was not to be! The low quiescent power consumption in standby mode was a welcome consideration too. After due diligence, we were both convinced that the NPX 300 was a “must have” and went ahead with a purchase.”
