“Having noted the substantial positive impact of adding the NPX 300 power supply to the NSC 200, I was keen to understand what the 'updated' Super Lumina XLR-XLR interconnect could offer? Jack at the Audiobarn arranged a home demo of the SL interconnect and, whilst Naim supply a very good XLR interconnect with the NC NAP 250 amplifier, swapping this for the SL interconnect delivered an immediate and palpable improvement. Not of the same order as the impact of the NPX 300, but nevertheless a significant improvement. Bearing in mind the demo cable was well burned in, the arrival of the new SL XLR inerconnect gave a noticeable step up in SQ and has continued to develop with use. Whilst neither the NPX 300 nor the Super Lumina XLR Interconnect can be considered cheap additions to the NC 200 system, they do raise its performance to reference levels for the systems price point and are undoubtedly worthwhile additions for anyone wishing to extract the maximum performance from Naim's New Classic 200 Series.”
