“So dissapointed in this cake, was for my daughter's 30th. We have always brought The caker, cakes for special occasions over the years. The texture and icing have definitely changed. The cake texture was very similar to a Brownie.”

Hi Debbie, Thank you so much for your feedback, we're heartbroken to hear that you didn't enjoy your Black Forest cake this time around. The flourless nature of the base of this cake means the combination of ground almonds, dark chocolate, eggs and sugar creates a fudge-y almost brownie-like texture which makes this cake super decadent and rich - although you probably know that having ordered it previously! I can assure you that the recipe for both the cake and the icing is the same as it always has been, so I'm not sure what could have gone awry here. I'll be discuss possibilities with our bakers to ensure we get to the bottom of it.
