“This shipment was very mild and did not detect any bit of a kickbat all. I expected Medium/Hot. I would like the next level up of 5lb of chopped or whole Green chili sent to me as a replacement for the 5 lb Med-Hot Whole Big Jim Chili frozen pkgs. Your pkging was perfect & excellent, but the med hot was very mild.. Please let me know you will do this. Otherwise, I will have burned a match to the $74.+ you charged me...I live on $832/ month on Social Security & can prove I am low income...if you need to see my soc. Sec. Statement, I will accommodate you.....replacing the shipment with another 5 lb of the next step up green chile would be so very much appreciated..thank you, Cheryl Cormican...(505) 350-1180.”

Hi Cheryl, I'm sorry you were unhappy with the level of heat in our medium-hot. We do have a warning up on the medium-hot pages which states: "This season's Medium-Hot is running a tad milder than usual. If you want a strong kick, we recommend ordering our Hot." “I love these chili’s. I get them every year, and I am running out, so I hope harvest is soon and abundant. I usually order medium and medium-hot. Sometimes I order hot. The medium have very little heat, just flavor. Med-hot have flavor with a kick and hot, well, they are mostly heat and a bit of flavor. I usually just add those to recipes that need heat, in conjunction with the mild.”

“These are our favorite Hatch chili. The flavor is great, and the heat is perfect. If ordered whole, they make a nice relleno pepper. We have been buying this pepper for 8 years since we first discovered the difference a Hatch Chile makes.”
