“First of all I must say the chilies are delicious. Now to three problems I encountered: 1) I cancelled an order a few weeks ahead of scheduled delivery. The nay message I got back was 'we're working on your request..." or something similar. Then. a few weeks later . I got a message that my order was coming! I replied 'no.. I cancelled it. ' it came anyway. The email communication was either spotty or confusing. I finally asked for a phone call- which I got. The unwanted chilles arrived but I wasn't charged. 2) four (or so) months ago, I requested my order be changed to whole chillies instead chopped. One order of whole chillies came; the next reverted to chopped. 3) In one email, I asked if Hatch recycles the big styrofoam boxes. I never got a reply on that. Do you? Can I send them back? Thanks forthe feedback opportunity.”

Hi there! I'm sorry you were frustrated with your experience. We have a skeleton crew that mans the customer service desk during the off-season as we're all out working to grow the chile! We do not recycle the styro's as the shipping (and CO2 it would generate) would more than negate the environmental savings of us reusing them. Instead, we recommend that our customers use them as ice-chests for their own use. They're relatively sturdy and typically last for several years before needing to be disposed of. As to the free chile you received (you said we didn't charge you for the extra shipment) hopefully it more than made up for the frustrations you had in switching from one product to another.
