“I bought two 25-lb. orders of Big Jim and two 25-lb. orders of Charger this season. I really can’t tell the difference in flavor and I am a New Mexican girl who loves her chile. Whatever you buy from The Hatch Chile store will be delicious. Their service is second to none. I just hope what I put up lasts until next season (!). I waited until a lot of it turned red before I roasted it. So yummy!”

“The green chilies are excellent it's just the delivery service supposedly took 6 days to deliver to spring hill Florida. Approximately 40 chilies spoiled. During hurricane irma we ordered 125 pounds and only 10 spoiled. We paid for 3 day shipping but got 6. I love hatch green chilies, the best I've ever tasted being from Colorado. Thank you for reading my review.”

“I received my order of ‘Charger Chile’ two days after receiving notice that it was on the way. When I opened the box I was surprised that not one Chile was spoiled. I roasted, bagged, and froze most of box the same day. I also made some ‘Chile Verde’ which was delicious with not too much spice, I can’t wait till my order of ‘Lumber’ arrives.”

“The shipment arrived around noon on Thursday. The Chile was in great condition. We immediately roasted the Chile that afternoon. There was no spoilage at all except one tip of a pod that was a little soft. Tasted the Chile in a Chile burrito, the flavor was excellent and good heat. The Chile was very robust and meaty. This is the first time we tried charger variety . In fact I have never seen this variety before. Is it a new variety developed by the Chile institute at NMSU ?”

“We got 25# of fresh Charger delivered on schedule today. Beautiful pods! We roasted all immediately on arrival; froze most, but had to eat a few right away quickly heated with Swiss cheese in flour tortillas - absolutely excellent flavor. Out of 151 peppers in the box, only three had to be discarded due to having had defects or having been crushed in transit. Hope to see Charger offered every year - hands down, our favorite Hatch pepper!”
