Only giving a 2 out if respect for the chilies. Three years in a row order was messed up. The first-year thing mixed hot and medium together so there was no way to tell the difference. The second ear, a too large a portion of the Chili's came in rotten. They did work with me on some of it but it was still not necessary. Yes I know I could have gotten overnight, but they're shipping is outrageous. The third-year, I get an email that my order is being processed then I never hear anymore. Then my order disappears. I called to get it going again then they can't pick my Chili's on the next week. I then went to Fresh market and bought Chili's with the brand name Young gun, they seem fantastic. When left a voicemail that I needed to cancel my order, I then get an email that they were unable to pick my order and they were canceling it. I have no idea which one is true but it really doesn't matter. check out your local Fresh market, the price was what is charged by hatch chile for a case, no shipping, and the one nearest to me, actually had someone out roasting them in the proper kind of roaster. Needless to say, I won't be using hatch chile store again.

Hi Bruce, I'm not sure what you mean by mixing your order together. Each variety ships in it's own box and does have a label on the side of the box specifying what heat level it is. We NEVER mix two varieties in the same box. It looks like the second year you ordered from us you did select 3-Day Shipping which is not one of our guarantee shipping methods. You must select 2-Day Air shipping in order to receive out free reshipment guarantee. It looks like we made an exception and shipped another box to you for free and just asked that you covered the cost of shipping. It looks like this year you placed a pre-order in May which stated that it would not ship out until August. We refuse to harvest any chile that is not mature enough, at the time we were not harvesting any Sandia because it was not ripe and ready. We did cancel your order and refunded you the full amount. I'm not sure what more we could have done here to provide you with a positive experience. Please feel free to reach out to us. -The Hatch Chile Store

For the first time in all the years I've been purchasing these Chiles, I had spoilage in BOTH boxes. When you asked me for a review, instead I reached out and told customer service. I was told it was a fluke. Hard to believe as it happened in BOTH boxes. I got a small refund, but that’s not what I wanted. I want to let you know that you may have a problem.

Did not get the chiles I ordered. I ordered hot chile and received what must be the very mildest. NO CHILE FLAVOR!!! It was a large order and I now have a BUNCH of what looks like green chiles but have no flavor. VERY DISAPIONTED!!!!
