“Fantastically plump pods. Arrived in great shape via two-day shipping and survived two more days until we were able to roast them. Heat in this batch is kind of variable, but never hotter than what I would call Hot.”

“Got my box (25 lb) and only had 4 bad chiles from New Mexico to California..I thought that was really good. So, I just cooked my first batch this weekend and it is wonderful. I took green chile to my girlfriend in Laguna Beach and it was so delicious, she ended up ordering 10 lbs., so that is how good it was. Also, I made a mistake and ordered 2 25lb. boxes and you guys were so nice and helpful to get that fixed. A great company with a great product. I have been shipping my chile in for the past 10 years or so....”

“My box arrived on time with little damage in Montana. Only had 2 bad chiles from each box that is amazing. My chiles were fresh, plump and clean. I will order again next fall.”

“As expected. Being a perishable, there were some rotting but not much. My recent order was for HOT, to which I must say, I was disappointed. In comparison, my first order earlier in the month (medium) was just as hot. After speaking to a rep gauging which level I should order I was reassured that the HOT would be very noticeable and the best for me. From my experience, if you are someone who enjoys spice, the Mediums and HOT are the same. Unfortunately, I spent 150.00 Dollars on two orders to figure this out. Lastly, with both orders, there were unexpected delays which resulted in an extra week and a half to the delivery. Only reason I mail ordered. Hatch Chili's are not sold in Florida.”

“The box said Hot. I ordered Sandia and believe I received Big Jim's. Almost all the chile's were 8 to 12inches. I have pictures. The heat level is mild to medium. I haven't had one yet that I would consider hot. This review is from a 58 year old native New Mexican. My mom can't drive any longer so I was forced to use an alternative way to get my chile fix. I always buy hot Sandia most of them vary drastically from one chile to the next. What I received was large chile's with the most consistent heat level I've ever tasted. I don't know what to do now. I've had the pleasure of driving down to Hatch and buying my bushel. I'm just trying to express that I know what I'm talking about. The chile's were very fresh and the price was reasonable, but I did not get what I ordered! I will update if I hear from the seller.”

Dear Tom, What you received was definitely Sandia if it was consistent in heat. Big Jim is notorious for being inconsistent and our Sandia seed has a very consistent heat profile. If it was not hot enough for you, we can definitely ship you a box of Lumbre if you're interested. Heat is relative so we can't re-ship any time someone isn't happy with the level of heat the receive.
