“Overall the quality of the fresh chile was fine. There were about 8 that were broken or crushed. My real concern was that they all were quite moist and I had to trim off mushy pieces before using. I love Hatch and have never had a problem in the past so will continue to be a customer but this last delivery was a bit disappointing.”

“About half of the order had spoilage so we roasted and chopped them up. We prefer whole chiles for rellenos so I don’t expect to order fresh chiles again. The weather was hot and we’re on the other side of the country so it was a long journey.”

Hi Alan, Taylor here! It looks like someone else took over your email chain after I had asked for photos. I think they were a bit confused and had thought you only lost 2 or 3 peppers. In that instance, we do not reship as we always pack the boxes with 1lb-3lb of peppers. Looking back on your previous email, it looks like you lost about half of the box. I've gone ahead and set up a 5lb reshipment that should ship out tomorrow. Keep an eye on your email this evening for your shipment notification email. So sorry about the confusion and hassle. We are short-staffed right now, and our customer service team is a little overwhelmed. Enjoy the reshipment and make some amazing rellenos! Best, Taylor

“I ordered the chili for my son for his birthday who lives in Florida when it arrived he loved it his wife was roasting the chili for him she told me there were 5 casualties so not bad for shipping I’ll order more for sure”

Hi Robert, It doesn't look like you ever reached out to our customer service team about this issue. If we don't know about the issue, we don't have the chance to fix it. It appears that USPS has severely delayed your package, and there has been no additional movement. I have set up a reshipment that will go out Tuesday. I am so sorry for the delay, this does happen when working with a carrier as they will sometimes delay or loose packages. We do ask that if there are any issues with your shipment that you reach out to us as we can often set up a reshipment and get your chile to you as soon as possible. Best, The Hatch Chile Store

“I now live in Florida but not by choice I might add. My aging parents moved here in 1975 with my help and my husband and I moved to Albuquerque in Feb. 1976. I moved to Florida in 1999 to help aging parents but I can't live with my "Hatch", so I order it, 5 lbs. at a time!”

“OMG. For a very Pan Blanca lady, THIS is like mother's milk! Rich, full flavored, consistently delicious from top to bottom, and amazingly fresh!!
