“My husband and I love our green chile, especially in the winter months. The chile we received was big and very meaty, however, it is not hot at all, which was very disappointing. The chile arrived on time and in good shape.”

Dear Pamela, Big Jim is notorious for inconsistency in heat and, due to heavy rains this year, all of our chile is slightly milder than usual. I would bet that after you try more of the order you'll find some hotter pods mixed in. That is typical for Big Jim. Best, Preston

“I ordered 10lbs with 2 day shipping. The chilies arrived in great shape. Took me three evenings to roast them all so some did get a little wrinkly but that doesn't really matter when you're roasting them. Since then, I've used them for a variety of dishes. As expected, some are hotter than others but all have a kick. I really love Hatch Valley chilies so there's not a lot that could happen for me to give them a less than stellar rating.”
