“They are the best. I ordered on the chilies on Sat. Aug. 26 but it took two weeks for them to come. I thought they would have been picked on the 29th and shipped for me to receive them on the Aug.1. I did not receive them until the 8th which was a hassle to get 50 lbs roasted in one night because I had plans on leaving town on the 9th. My UPS does not deliver til 5=5:30 p.m. I think if Hatch is not going to send out the week you ordered for whatever reason I should have been sent an email explaining why they would be postponed a week.”

“I was so impressed with the service I received on ordering my chilies, picked in the morning and shipped that afternoon. 2 day service. It was awesome. Love my Big Jim...so good. Thank you Hatch Chilie Store..I will continue to go through you in future orders.”

“I have purchased Big Jims in the past. After not buying them for several years and missing them I decided to check the prices. I stopped buying because they became too expensive. I was disappointed with my 25 lbs of chilies. A lot of them were old and it's hard to work with when they're old. There was even a rotten chile in the middle of the box. Disappointed, hopefully quality control will improve the next time I order, because I do love these Chiles and the flavor they bring to my cooking.”

Shelly, This is why we have a clear notice at the top of the page on our website which clearly indicates that you bear the risk of loss if you opt for ground shipping. The chile you received spent three to four days in a hot truck, you can't expect it to be as fresh on arrival as it was the day we shipped it. However, had you opted for 2-Day Air as recommended on the website, your box would have arrived in much better shape. Thanks, Preston

“I was born and raised in Santa Fe. My wife and I bought your chile for many years. We currently live in Southern Arizona, and make a special trip in the Fall - to get your Chile. This year we just couldn't make the trip and ordered on line. My wife loves to roast and peel the Big Jim Chile so we ordered fresh and did our own. Happiness is a freezer full of Big Jim Chile from The Hatch Chile Store. We appreciate what you do, the generations that are keeping it going and look forward to making a trip next year. Thank You.”
