“This was the first year I tried the big jims. The color and crispness upon arrival was great, the flavor was nice. I have been roasting Hatch chiles in Indiana since childhood, so I know that the intensity of the heat depends on the weather while maturing. This batch of mild/hot were mild. Flavor and smell awesome”

“I order from you every year and have never been disappointed. This year I wasn't exactly disappointed but a lot of the chiles were old and drying up. These had clearly not been picked recently.”

Dear T. Sahli, Your order was picked and shipped on Tuesday but it looks like you opted for the non-recommended 3-Day shipping. That is not a guaranteed service and the extra day in transit is definitely what caused the additional wilting. Last year, your order arrived in 2 Days, not 3. In the future, I'd recommend using the recommended 2-Day Air shipping option when ordering perishables.

“This was my first time ordering hatch chile on line so I was a little nervous not sure what to expect. We normally drive to hatch and buy a few boxes. I ordered a 25 lb box of medium-hot, fresh, big jims. When I opened the box, the first thing I smelled was the distinct, hatch chile aroma, yum. The chiles were fresh, maybe two had broken in half, none were spoiled. I roasted the chiles and made green chile stew. The heat level was just right, there was an occasional chile "bite", perfect. Next year, if I'm not able to drive to Hatch New Mexico to buy my own chile, I will definitely order chile from The Hatch Chile Store.”

“The shipment arrived in great condition. The Big Jim's were long, straight and great tasting, Could not resist peeling a few after roasting , putting them in a tortilla and eating. this was our second shipment of the season so we are set until next August.”

“Made it to New Hampshire in beautiful condition. Not the hottest chiles but I know that was because of weather conditions this year. Flavor is awesome.”
