“I was told I'd have to wait a week due to rain; however, it would give the chile time to firm and become heavier. Little did I realize I would be receive immature plants that smell and taste like bell peppers. Roasting was a disappointing experience too. The chile sticks to the skin. These plants are waxy feeling instead of smooth. Very light, instead of heavy. Lime green instead of green. I wasted $100. I guess I should have put a note in when pre-ordering, saying to wait until the middle or end of September when the best chile is coming off the plant.”

“Chiles appear to have been picked too young. Pods are a very pale green. I was called by someone from the store to assure me that the chile were indeed ripe. After roasting, the chile has no flavor or heat, so we gave them a chance to spice up after freezing. Our second attempt at renellos, proved to still support our original thought that the chiles were picked while still "green"and not yet ripe. We are very disappointed in our shipment.”

“Chiles arrived today 2 day air. Very fresh. Out of 25 lbs only two chiles were bad! My kitchen smells great! I will be roasting chile on Saturday! There was a rain delay of a week, but the folks at the Hatch Chile Store kept me informed and responded promptly when I had questions. Great service.”

“My name is Michael Sandoval and I was born in the great state of New Mexico. I was introduced to the cuisine of New Mexico through my grandmother who filled the house with the smells and flavors of traditional farm cooking. Being a trained food professional I was thrilled to find the Hatch Chile Company. Finally, I can source some of the chilies from my home state. The service was of the finest quality. When there was any delay, I was notified promptly. When my shipment had arrived, I received a call from a customer service agent to let me know that it was there. At that time we were in a heat wave with high temps and humidity. Because of his call, the box of fresh green chilies were only out in the direct sunlight for no more than ten minutes. Thank you! The chilies hav been roasted and frozen safely. The flavor and Heat are exactly as advertised. I am thrilled with the chilies and the company that sold them to me. Thank you for all that you have done to insure a happy experience. You have gained a life long friend and customer. I look forward to doing more business with you. God bless you all! “The order got delayed by rain and I was notified immediately . I even received a call from the owners themselves . Order arrived via postal and all chiles were phenomenal !!!”
