“I am sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed with this year's chile. Out of the 25 pounds I received, about 3 pounds was either rotten or red. The rest of the chile was fine.”

Hi! A little red and some spoilage is to be expected when you don't opt for the recommended 2-Day Air shipping on fresh products. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that shipments which do not go out 2-Day Air will arrive in perfect condition. The red is no problem and can be roasted and mixed in with the green. It provides great flavor and beautiful color contrast to the green.

“Hatch chiles are hands down the best chiles anywhere. But the chiles this year were not quite as good as last year. They were harder to peel and not as fresh. They had good flavor though and were spicy hot. We assumed it was the weather that made them a little bit of a B chiles compared to last years A plus! We will be back next year for our 50 lbs!!”
