“Great batch or excellent chile. Out of the 50 lbs, only a handful were damaged in shipment and started to spoil. Very flavorful, and great aroma during roasting! Large, meaty chiles, perfect for rellenos or casseroles, but also great rolled up in a warm tortilla with a little butter and touch of salt.”

“I received a big box of Big Jims all in excellent condition. Not a single pepper lost to damage or spoilage. We used to be able to get chilies like these in the grocery store when we lived in Tucson Arizona or just make the 4 hour drive to Hatch New Mexico during harvest. However, here in Iowa, I don't think that they have ever seen peppers of this size and quality. The heat is perfect and not overwhelming allowing you to enjoy that great flavor. You will pay a little more for these but it will be money well spent.”

“Pre-Ordered a 25# box and a couple weeks later they arrived, nicely packed in a perforated shipping box. We opened the box to be greeted by the scent of warm fresh Hatch Chile. The next morning, the air was perfumed with the glorious aroma of roasting Chile as we charred the skins on our gas grill! I've missed that smell! All I need now is some pinon!”

“I liked them! I've always ordered the smaller hot ones before (Barker) , and although very good, they were volcanic with heat. A little went a long way. My only mistake was buying one quart freezer bags and they are too long to pack them in there. So next year I'll order gallon size bags so they can lay out instead of having to be folded up.”

“Great batch had about a dozen spoiled chilies. So far the taste is perfect and the hot isn't unbearable. Very good flavor. Very satisfying wish I had ordered more than 25lbs!!”
