“Our Chiles arrived on a Friday. They weren't as fresh as I had hoped. Most were already wrinkling and a few even were starting to rot. We roasted the ones that were in good shape and they were very good.”

“These chilis are fanstastic! I ordered the 5 lb amount and it was more than I thought it would be. Only downside to the entire process - I paid for my order through amazon and it took the store almost a week to acknowledge that I had placed my order. I thought that it had gotten lost somewhere in the system and was about to give up when the store finally contacted me. Buyer beware - two day air does not necessarily mean you will get your chilis two days after you order them!”

Dear Evan, We only ship Fresh chile on Tuesdays, as advertized on the website. Orders must be placed by Monday at noon in order to go out the following day, otherwise they are shipped when we harvest fresh chile the following week. Picked to order produce isn't quite the same logistically as shipping a widget that is stored in some warehouse. There's a lot more to it! If the shipping info was unclear or not prominent enough on the website, we'd love suggestions as to how to improve it. “First time ordering these fantastic chile. Received the 5 lb box on the date promised. Peppers were in perfect pristine condition. Not one had a blemish or bruise or soft spot. I split in half, spread out on moderate grill and roasted. Easy to prepare and seed. Delicious. Might try the slightly hotter variety next time too.”

“arrived in very good condition lost only 2. 1 mild and 1 medium some is already in its intended destination. mucho bueno!!! frank belot p.s. I lived in hatch 1948-1951 my mother owned the borger café.”
