“The Honda PCX 125 is a great bike, nippy and very reliable. Great for travelling to work or for a nice run out on the week end.
The only downside I could find is it is slightly on the light side 135 kg i think and if you get a very strong head wind you certainly know it.
If I thought about it i would have got a larger engine as i do like to go for a long ride when the weather is good ( not too windy) and when you get to 50 mph and over it does get a bit scary on such a light framed bike.”
“I've been riding bikes for about 40 years and have had everything from a vespa to a Moto Guzzi... Not having a death wish I've never been interested in racing type bikes...
My previous bike was Suzuki Bandit. Lovely bike in many ways but did not feel anything like safe compared to my 1000cc Guzzi.
The PCX125 is a nice little phut-phut... Excellent in town and a pleasure to ride. It keeps up with all but the most death-defying riders quite easily and, because of it's ease-to-use I find I am biking much much more than when I had the Bandit.
It does what it says on the tin very competently.”
“Reliable scooter, cheap to run, 120 miles/gallon what else could you ask for. Its not very comfortable but for a quick run to the city its unbeatable. Its an Honda.”
“I have ridden small Honda scooters for over 40 years and have always been pleased with their reliability. My previous bike was a Honda Dylan 125, which I loved, but the PCX surpassed my expectations. I like the larger storage space under the seat, the easier access to the fuel tank - the cap is not under the seat, but on the raised ridge between the rider's legs - and smooth, efficient automatic starter. The MPG is a noticeable improvement on the Dylan, which Honda have achieved in part by the design of the wheels and tires. Unlike the Dylan, the wheels allow surplus rain water to quickly drain off when parked; the Dylan wheels corroded quickly because a pool of water remained on the base of the wheel rim. I don't like the mirrors and have had to change them. Honda scooters have notoriously poor mirrors that cannot be tightened when the (inevitably) work loose. The were also too big, poking out about four inches further than the handle bars, which was a pain when filtering through traffic. I hate the mechanism that covers the ignition keyhole. You have to open the cover with the base of the starter key and this is difficult to do in the dark. Honda should have fitted a small LED to help with this. Lastly, the steering lock is not robust and should not be relied on alone for security. I don't know why a thief-proof steering lock is so difficult to design. Overall, I am very pleased with the bike.”
