Thanks Jim, we've reviewed this item and you are correct. This is a standard flow shutoff, which is about a 3/8" bore. This product changed at some point without a description update. That said, if you would like to return the shutoff(s) you purchased, please contact customer service.

“The first one I received was defective. When I called the company and told them, they immediately said they would send me a new one, no charge, and that they would test it before they sent it out to me. Received it very quickly and would recommend this product and this company to everyone. So appreciate their help.”
